Data Analyst – Data Quality, Governance & Access
Are you a data analyst with a strong product mindset and an affinity for data quality? For a major Dutch bank, we are looking for a Data Analyst to join the Customer Data domain within Digital Business Banking. This team provides the capabilities to retrieve, store and validate customer data for both retail and business clients. This data sits at the core of the bank’s operations and is used in critical processes such as onboarding, servicing, and regulatory reporting.
About the role
As a Data Analyst, you play a key role in improving and safeguarding the quality of customer data. You combine analytical skills with a product mindset and work closely with stakeholders across the bank.
You will:
- Monitor and improve data quality by defining and applying data quality rules and controls
- Analyse data issues (e.g. duplicates, missing or incorrect data) and identify root causes across processes and systems
- Drive structural improvements by collaborating with upstream and downstream teams
- Support consumers of customer data and help them use data effectively
- Translate business needs into clear data requirements and user stories
- Increase data awareness and promote data quality practices across the organisation
You will take ownership of data quality improvement topics and contribute to prioritisation together with stakeholders across multiple domains.
Your team
You will join the value space ‘Data Quality, Governance and Access’, consisting of multiple squads responsible for customer data services used bank-wide. The teams include Customer Journey Experts, Data Analysts, and IT Engineers. You will collaborate with stakeholders across domains such as onboarding, KYC, and customer servicing, where reliable customer data is critical.
About you
- Strong analytical skills, with decisions based on data and insights
- Proficient in SQL and experienced working with large datasets
- Hands-on experience with Power BI for building dashboards and visualising insights
- Familiar with analytical tools such as Python (pandas) and/or Excel for deeper data analysis
- Effective communication with both technical and business stakeholders
- Able to translate data into clear, actionable insights that drive impact
- Proactive ownership within your domain, driving improvements
- Thrives in multidisciplinary, agile teams
- Fluent in Dutch and English, both verbal and written
