As Climate Resilience GLM Lead, you will lead the global strategic market direction for Climate Resilience—ensuring a clear value proposition, strong growth pipeline, and alignment across regions and Business Lines. You will operate at the intersection of strategy, clients, and growth, enabling the business line(s) to focus on the most valuable opportunities. This role works in close partnership with the Business Unit Directors to align market priorities with delivery capability and performance.
Market Strategy & Positioning
Define and continuously refine the global Climate Resilience strategy and value proposition, informed by insights from marketing and business development teams
Lead market intelligence, segmentation, and prioritisation of geographies, clients, and sectors
Shape competitive positioning and articulate clear market narratives (“what problem we solve”)
Align market strategy with EE30 ambitions, Business Line priorities and regional needs
Represent a single, coherent global narrative that regions and BUs execute locally
Growth, Pipeline & Business Development
Define market-specific growth priorities and strategic focus areas and set targets
Identify and prioritise the most strategically relevant markets, clients, and opportunities for Climate Resilience globally
Support major bids by strengthening win strategies and positioning
Collaborate with Business Development and Marketing teams to help convert pipeline into wins
Client & Account Leadership
Define and drive strategy for key global clients and priority accounts
Support Key Account Managers in developing and delivering strategic account plans
Support relationship development with major clients, investors, and partners alongside account and BD teams
Ensure client insights and feedback are translated into market strategy and offering development
Global Alignment & Governance
Act as the focal point for market priorities, focus areas, and investment direction
Act as the integrator across regions, Business Units, ensuring alignment and connectivity on Climate Resilience priorities without duplicating BU accountabilities
Establish and lead regular global meetings on Business development, pipeline key accounts and market priorities to ensure alignment across the company
Work closely with the global Business Development network, providing alignment on Climate Resilience priorities
Value Proposition, Portfolio & Innovation
Shape and continuously evolve the Climate Resilience offering portfolio based on market needs
Ensure integration of consulting, engineering, digital, and nature-based solutions into a compelling client offer
Identify new service areas, partnerships, and innovations aligned to market demand
Drive thought leadership agenda and external positioning in priority markets
Market Development & External Positioning
Represent Haskoning externally as the leader in Climate Resilience
Build visibility through thought, partnerships, and industry engagement
Monitor policy, regulatory, and investment trends shaping the market
People, Capability & Community
Build and connect a global Climate Resilience community across regions and disciplines
Identify capability gaps for future markets needs and inform workforce planning lead via BUs)

This role reports directly to the Strategy Director – Water & Maritime. The role will be based in either the NL or the UK, international travel will be required throughout the year.

- Proven experience in global consulting and engineering environments
- Strong track record in business development and winning complex opportunities
- Deep understanding of climate resilience, adaptation and infrastructure challenges
