Our longstanding Financial Services client is urgently seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join a project team on an initial 12-month contract, based in Amsterdam. The successful Risk Manager will need to be fluent in Dutch and English and will ideally have a background of working in the financial services, banking, or insurance sector.
The contract Risk Manager will join a business transformation programme to harmonise business units across 12 European countries to gain efficiencies and accelerate growth. The project is in the second phase of deployment and the Risk Manager will need excellent stakeholder management sills, and be able to identify potential risks, devise possible solutions & countermeasures to bring the project home in the final phase. You will also be instrumental in ensuring the new platform & applications are adherent to policies, standards, and compliance.
- 12 month initial contract – extensions highly likely
- Full time hours – 40 hours per week
- Hybrid working – 2 days per week onsite in Amsterdam
Skills & experience needed:
- Demonstrable experience as a Risk Manager – ideally from within Global financial services organisations
- Excellent managerial & people skills, strong communication & stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of company information infrastructure and needs, as well as its role towards company goals
- Expert knowledge of risk assessment and prevention
- Strategic thinking in service of business goals and company strategy
- Ability to communicate complex information to non-technical audiences throughout the company
- Ability to brief, train and direct staff in the application of new protocols
- Ability to formulate constructive feedback to a wide array of different stakeholders
- Ideally have good knowledge of Cyber security concepts – any certifications in this area would be advantageous (CISSP, CRMP, ICS2, CRISC, COSO or equivalent)
- Fluent English & Dutch language skills
