Unit / Team
The Information Technology Services (ITS) division is responsible for providing IT solutions across the Atradius Group. Within ITS, the ITS Finance unit is responsible for maintaining, supporting, and continuously enhancing the Group’s applications across the Finance and Risk domains for operational (Oracle EBS / Financials, Hyperion, Reinsurance, SAP Concur, …) and regulatory (IFRS 17, Solvency II, SAF-T, ….) purposes.
The team works closely with Finance, Risk, Infrastructure, Data, and other ITS teams to ensure that systems are reliable, scalable, secure, compliant, and aligned with business needs.
Job description
We are seeking a Finance Systems Analyst to join the ITS Finance team. The role is aimed at someone who combines strong business analysis capabilities with a solid understanding of finance systems, data, and technical delivery processes.
The Finance Systems Analyst acts as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams. The person works closely with Finance, Risk, Compliance, and other business areas to understand business needs, analyse existing systems and data, translate requirements into clear functional and technical specifications, and support developers and infrastructure colleagues in delivering effective solutions.
The ideal candidate has experience with finance systems, preferably within an insurance or financial services environment. They should be comfortable discussing business processes with non-technical stakeholders, while also being able to investigate system behaviour, analyse data flows, review application logic, and explain requirements clearly to developers, database specialists, integration teams, and infrastructure colleagues.
Key Responsibilities

Analyse business processes and translate them into clear functional requirements, user stories, specifications, and acceptance criteria.

Analyse data to support issue investigation, change analysis, reconciliation, and solution design.

Investigate existing finance systems, data flows, interfaces, and reporting processes to determine the impact of requested changes.

Work with developers to explain business requirements, clarify expected system behaviour, validate technical designs, and follow up on implementation progress.

Collaborate with other ITS teams on environment, performance, connectivity, scheduling, deployment, and operational topics.

Support delivery processes including backlog refinement, test coordination, defect follow-up, and release preparation.

Support testing activities, including test scenario definition, system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and defect analysis.

Help ensure that delivered solutions are robust, maintainable, compliant, and aligned with finance system architecture and operational standards.

Maintain clear documentation of requirements, process flows, data mappings, system behaviour, decisions, and implemented changes.

Act as a trusted point of contact between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
Job requirements
Business Analysis & Finance Systems Expertise:
-
Proven experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Functional Analyst, or similar role in a finance systems environment.

Experience with Oracle Financials EBS and/or Oracle Fusion is desirable.

Understanding of finance processes such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement, expense management, financial reporting, reconciliations, or regulatory reporting.

Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is highly advantageous.

Experience with regulatory or finance reporting topics such as IFRS 17, Solvency II is a plus.

Ability to understand business needs, challenge assumptions, identify gaps, and translate requirements into practical system changes.

Strong ability to document requirements, process flows, data flows, interface specifications, and acceptance criteria.
Technical Expertise:
-
Strong analytical skills and the ability to investigate system and data issues across multiple applications and platforms.

Good understanding of relational databases, preferably Oracle Database.

Ability to analyse data using SQL or similar query tools.

Experience with ETL, data integration, or reporting platforms is highly desirable.

Knowledge of Informatica and/or Databricks is a plus.

Familiarity with ERP integrations, batch processes, interfaces, file exchanges, APIs, and data reconciliation concepts.

Experience with finance-related applications such as Basware, Cupra, Hyperion Suite, or similar systems is an advantage.

Understanding of software delivery lifecycle practices, including requirements management, testing, release management, and production support.

Familiarity with Azure DevOps, backlog management, user stories, defects, repositories, and CI/CD pipelines is desired.

Ability to communicate effectively with infrastructure, database, integration, and application teams on technical topics such as environments, connectivity, scheduling, access, performance, and deployments.
Languages:

Fluency in English is a must; proficiency in Spanish is a plus.
Travel:

Willingness to travel approximately 10%.
