We are seeking a Project Delivery Specialist to lead the technical execution of projects from contract handover through installation, commissioning, and client acceptance. This role sits at the intersection of automation engineering, mineral processing, and project delivery, ensuring high-quality integration and successful deployment at industrial client sites.
This is a highly specialized position requiring a unique combination of mineral processing expertise and advanced automation capabilities, making it critical to our project success.
Key Responsibilities
1) Technical Integration & Automation Delivery
- Develop communication maps (signal lists, tag mapping, data flow architecture)
- Configure and validate industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, MODBUS TCP, PROFINET, PROFIBUS, Ethernet-based systems)
- Prepare network configuration diagrams (topology, IP planning, cybersecurity considerations)
- Design and support development of HMI/SCADA systems (e.g., WinCC, PCS7, Ignition, AVEVA)
- Collaborate with client PLC/DCS/SCADA teams for seamless system integration
2) Project Delivery & Coordination
- Plan and manage project execution: timelines, risks, dependencies, and milestones
- Maintain full project documentation (FAT/SAT, commissioning reports, integration specs)
- Coordinate across internal engineering teams and external stakeholders (clients, EPCs, integrators)
3) Onsite Installation & Commissioning
- Execute and supervise installation, commissioning, and startup activities
- Perform system validation: connectivity, control logic, alarms, and data quality
- Troubleshoot automation and process issues during commissioning and ramp-up
- Support operational handover and early-stage production optimization
4) Process & Operational Understanding
- Apply knowledge of mineral processing operations (e.g., flotation, grinding, thickening)
- Translate process requirements into automation and control strategies
- Support KPI validation and performance optimization with process teams
Requirements
Core Technical Skills
- Strong background in automation engineering
- Hands-on experience with:
- PLC programming (Siemens TIA Portal, STEP 7 or similar)
- DCS/SCADA systems
- HMI development and visualization systems
- Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols
- Experience creating:
- Communication maps
- Network architecture diagrams
Mineral Processing Expertise
- Proven knowledge or experience in mineral processing or mining operations
- Exposure to pilot plants, flotation systems, or process optimization is highly desirable
Programming & Technical Tools
- Basic to intermediate programming skills in:
- Python
- C / C++
- Familiarity with engineering tools (e.g., MATLAB, LabVIEW) is a plus
- Experience with 3D design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Plant 3D) is an advantage
Languages
- English (mandatory)
- Spanish (mandatory)
- Portuguese and/or French are a strong plus
Other Requirements
- Experience with onsite commissioning and industrial environments
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to travel internationally
Salaris: €2.400,00 - €4.000,00 per maand
