Odido is on a mission to become the most customer-driven telco in the Netherlands. We believe technology only matters when it serves people, when systems work, people can work, and customers get helped better. That’s why we build with care and intent: Human in how we collaborate, Optimistic about what we can improve, and Forward-thinking in the choices we make for tomorrow.
The role
As Senior Designer Media Services, reporting to the Manager Media Design & Operations, you help shape the TV experience customers rely on every day, by keeping our IPTV and OTT networks stable, scalable, and ready for what’s next. Your work sits at the intersection of design and reality: turning high-level design principles into practical documentation, templates, and end-to-end designs that teams can actually build, run, and improve.
You gather input from all relevant stakeholders, integrators, developers, operations, and others across NT&IT, to make sure designs meet both technical and business requirements. And once services move from paper to production, you stay close: overseeing implementation, supporting maintenance of media network elements, and continuously optimizing performance through monitoring, forecasting, and capacity management.
This role matters because the media ecosystem is complex: multi-vendor, multi-domain, and always under pressure from changing customer behavior and growing traffic. You help keep service continuity high through resiliency thinking, disaster recovery procedures and automatic network failover, while also staying sharp on security, compliance risks, and interoperability challenges. The impact is direct: the stability and quality of our TV network underpins customer-facing services and influences customer experience and business performance.
Responsibilities
-
Design, deploy and maintain IPTV & OTT media network elements
-
Translate business demand into clear technical solutions for media services
-
Deliver end-to-end designs, including design documentation and reusable templates
-
Monitor and optimize TV network performance; proactively resolve bottlenecks
-
Drive capacity planning, forecasting, and lifecycle management of the media ecosystem
-
Coordinate with architects, principal engineers, vendors, integrators, developers and Media Operations
-
Support troubleshooting and incident resolution for TV services, including continuity and resiliency measures
About the Team
You’ll join a media domain that works like a true system-integrator environment: engineers, integrators, developers and operations colleagues relying on each other to keep an end-to-end TV ecosystem healthy. It’s a team that relies on each other, values openness and craftsmanship, balancing day-to-day reliability with continuous improvement and newer technologies across IPTV and OTT.
At Odido, we believe in people.
We personally review every application. No keyword filters, no automated decisions.
That’s why we ask you to briefly share why this specific role at Odido fits your experience and ambition.
If it’s a match, we’ll notice. We do not hire your AI (yet)…
We want to become the most human-centred telecom provider in the Netherlands. That might sound odd from an IT or network role, but that's exactly where it starts. Because without stable systems, a reliable network and smart technology there's no conversation, no connection, no trust. You make sure everything runs, even when nobody notices. And that's precisely the point. Even if the customer doesn't see you, your impact is felt in every conversation, every connection and every moment it just works. Because when the technology is solid, people can work, customers can be helped, and trust is built.
At Odido we're there for each other. We see each other's talents. We listen and always look at what's possible, technically, personally and in the way we work together. Because you're at your best when you can grow, Odido gives you all the space you need for that. Together we look at where your ambition and talent lie and make sure you get the opportunities to grow in your own way, whether that's deeper technical specialisation, a broader architect role, or a step towards tech leadership.
At Odido you build critical infrastructure at a national scale, with a competitive salary and a bonus that matches your role. You work in compact teams with short lines, hybrid and with flexible hours. Your growth is central: through a personal development budget of up to €1,000 per year, more than 200 digital courses and room for technical specialisation or a step towards tech leadership.
Some things you cannot learn at university, but you possess them by nature.
Your core personality is empathic, decisive, curious, people-focused, authentic, and honest. You know the difference between managing and coaching, and when to apply which. You embrace challenges and are eager to grow. These are traits we’re looking for not only in managerial roles but in every Odido colleague, at every level.
