What to Expect
Tesla is looking to hire a Senior Technical Project Manager to join the Tilburg Project Management NPI team in the delivery of strategic manufacturing, industrialization, automation, and operational improvement projects and launch of new products on existing lines. In this role, you will drive projects from concept through implementation, validation, optimization, and handover to operations, owning project timeline, costs, and quality. You will lead cross-functional teams and interface with suppliers to deliver high-quality, efficient solutions across multiple project areas. Set up PN BOM and structures and manage product compatibility interfacing with Design and service team. Travel and potential temporary relocation to support project execution, factory launches, or global initiatives may be required. Tesla is a demanding, fast-paced environment where you will work with highly motivated teams on challenging projects.
What You'll Do
- Drive the full lifecycle of manufacturing, automation, infrastructure, and operational projects from concept through implementation and operational handover

Lead RFQ processes, supplier selection and management, and B2B coordination for production equipment, automation systems, and facility projects

Manage project schedule, budget, risks, and quality metrics to ensure successful project delivery and business objectives are achieved

Oversee cross-functional coordination and balance resource allocation (Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production, Quality, Facilities, etc.) for equipment, process, and facility-related projects

Ensure factory systems (MRP, ERP, MES, etc.) readiness, manufacturing validation, supply chain handover, and smooth transition to operations

Manage component-level, product, and process changes with engineering, service, and operations teams while ensuring validation targets are met

Execute and support preparation of the site roadmap
What You'll Bring
- BSc/MSc in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) with 1-3+ years in product development or project management, ideally delivering multiple products or lines in medium- to high-volume industries

Strong experience in RFQ processes, supplier management, and (preferably) B2B coordination for building fully automated production lines, especially for battery products or similar electromechanical assemblies (a plus)

Proven ability to own and deliver complex projects, managing timeline, costs, quality, and risks from design through launch

Solid production operations knowledge, including automated line layout/flow, line balance, OEE, cycle time, bottleneck resolution, lean principles, and multi-product manufacturing

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings or CAD models; reliable, innovative, committed, and quality-focused

Excellent written and verbal communication skills across cultures and regions, with experience in vendor/supplier management and operating under pressure with tight deadlines

Ability and willingness to potentially travel internationally and support temporary assignments or relocation to support project execution and business priorities
