As the Tender & Marketing Engineer you will participate in a small team and will give support in tender-, sales- and marketing activities for customers in the in the HVAC and District Heating market North Europe.
Amongst other things, you are responsible for creating (technical) content and also give support to the Marketing and Sales departments in creating textual descriptions, pictures, video and other content. Also you will be able to prepare and coordinate a tender on request. The primary product focus is on Heat Interface Units (HIUs), complemented by a broader portfolio of Watts solutions within the District Heating and HVAC domain.
Periodically, your role can be critical and time-sensitive which requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional who can operate effectively within an international team environment. Your position involves close collaboration with international colleagues across sales, engineering, marketing, and product management functions.
As Tender & Marketing Engineer you report to the responsible Manager based in Eerbeek, the Netherlands, and ensures all deliverables meet Watts’ standards of quality, accuracy, and professionalism.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Prepare and support complete tender submissions, including technical and commercial documentation, within defined deadlines
Analyze customer specifications, project requirements, and tender documents to ensure compliant and competitive proposals
Develop, maintain, and standardize (content for) technical documentation such as datasheets, specifications, project descriptions, and brochures.
Customize technical solutions and documentation for specific project and customer requirements
Coordinate with internal stakeholders (sales, engineering, product management, operations) to gather accurate input for tenders
Ensure alignment of tender content with Watts’ product strategy, technical capabilities, and quality standards
Support the development of technical marketing materials and documentation for B2B customers
Act as a technical interface during tender processes and customer projects, providing clarification and support internally and externally
Monitor tender pipelines and maintain organized documentation and records
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, Energy Engineering, or a related technical field
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in the HVAC industry or comparable area
Demonstrated experience in technical documentation or engineering support
Experience with District Heating systems, Heat Interface Units, or similar HVAC applications is strongly preferred
Experience in tender preparation preferred
Experience working in an international environment is an advantage
MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS:
Strong technical affinity with District Heating and HVAC systems
Excellent technical writing and documentation skills
Ability to interpret complex technical specifications and translate them into clear, structured documentation
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines
High attention to detail and commitment to quality
Effective communication skills in Dutch and English (written and verbal)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
PREFERRED SKILLS:
Knowledge of Heat Interface Units and District Heating applications
Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations
Additional European languages (German, French) are an advantage
Experience supporting marketing or product positioning activities
Ability to work in cross-functional and multicultural teams
Proficiency in AI applications (Microsoft Copilot)
MANAGEMENT/SUPERVISION:
Reports directly to the responsible Manager located in Eerbeek, the Netherlands
Works independently on assigned tasks while collaborating closely with a compact local team and international colleagues
