WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO AS FINANCE ADMINISTRATION REPRESENTATIVE?
At our Ground & Rail location in Nijmegen, we are looking for an Admin Employee Finance.
In this role, you will be part of the Freight Bill Audit (FBA) team, where you will be responsible for managing, processing, and monitoring various financial activities. This includes booking incoming invoices, analyzing and resolving any issues, disputing invoices with carriers, and providing the correct data for customer invoicing.
You will work closely with your colleagues from the FBA department as well as the Customer Service teams at different locations. In addition, you will have regular contact with carriers and, when necessary, directly with the customer.
In addition, as Admin Employee Finance you are responsible for:
- Booking carrier invoices into the system;
- Identifying problems with payments and invoices and then following up on them. You talk to the (internal) customer and pro-actively propose solutions;
- Preparing improvement proposals, such as reviewing and optimizing existing procedures or creating work instructions;
- Handling and resolving invoice or audit-related queries from various stakeholders, including Contract Managers, Customer Service Representatives, Carriers, and the Finance department at our headquarters;
- Processing, handling and verifying payments;
- Supporting the implementation of new customers for all finance-related aspects;
- Handling adjustments and making necessary corrections;
- Preparing various reports, such as financial overviews that provide insight into invoice allocations and recharges.
WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO WORK?
As an Admin Employee Finance you are part of a driven and informal operational team with 10 direct colleagues. You work at the Control Tower in Nijmegen. The Control Tower provides end-to-end transport and supply chain services to international customers, with the aim of controlling and optimizing supply chains. Your direct manager is the Supervisor FBA. Your working times vary between 08:00 and 18:00.

You are accurate, detail-oriented, and have experience or a strong affinity with Finance. In addition, you possess strong analytical skills, are proactive, and easily build connections with other departments. You’re curious by nature and like to understand why things are done in a certain way. With your driven attitude and strong communication skills, you know how to stand your ground.
Additionally, you bring the following knowledge and experience:
- MBO+/HBO level of education, preferably with a background in Finance, Business Economics, or a related field;
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role – however, motivated starters are also welcome to apply;
- A genuine interest in Finance and financial processes;
- Excellent command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written;
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
