Job Description
As a Barista at Britton’s Bakery, you will play a key role in creating an unforgettable experience for our customers. You will be responsible for crafting and serving high-quality coffee beverages and pastries, as well as providing exceptional customer service. Your passion for coffee, food and dedication to delivering top-notch service will help us maintain our reputation and become the go-to bakery shop in the area.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccinos, flat whites and specialty drinks.
- Take customer orders, provide recommendations, and answer any questions about our coffee, bakery items and other merchandise and products sold in our shop area.
- Finish off pastries, snacks, and other bakery items as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including coffee preparation areas and serving stations.
- Handle operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately.
- Uphold our commitment to exceptional customer service by engaging with customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive work environment.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines, including food safety practices and cleanliness standards.
Qualifications
- Previous barista or coffee-making experience is preferred but not required; we are willing to train the right candidate.
- A genuine passion for coffee and food.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks with a smile.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- A positive attitude and a strong team player.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
