Across the world people’s consumption habits and diets are evolving to be more plant-based. Enter Oatly, the #1 oat based dairy alternative producer in the world with products spanning multiple categories.
We’re determined on being part of the discussion on the long-term future of the food and beverage industry. To keep this movement going, we need more brilliant minds to come work with us to keep the momentum going and the Oatly flowing.
Our sole purpose as a company is to make it easy for people to eat better and live healthier lives without recklessly taxing the planet's resources in the process.
Sustainability, nutritional health and trust are at the heart of what we do. We are building a culture that constantly upgrades each other so we can upgrade the planet. This is a company that shows great respect and a fearless approach to make positive change. Does this feel exciting? Well, this is where you come in.
The purpose of this role is to run the day-to-day credit control activities, own the cash forecasting cycle, support the sales team with customer and trade spend management, and provide financial analysis and reporting support to the Head of Finance Benelux. This is not a traditional Accounts Receivable or Controller role: while managing cash collection and customer accounts is an important part of the position, we're looking for someone who is excited about going the extra mile in financial analysis by building insights, driving automation, and influencing how the function develops over time.
Own the end-to-end financial management of customers, from invoicing and cash collection to trade spend, profitability analysis and commercial support.
Clear incoming payments and maintain accurate customer account balances.
Build strong relationships with our customers by monitoring, following up on and reducing overdue balances.
Manage customer claims and deductions in close collaboration with Sales and Operations teams.
Prepare weekly and monthly cash forecasts considering expected payments, deductions and overdue balances.
Work closely with IT teams to resolve or escalate EDI-related issues.
Support the Sales team with the creation and allocation of trade spend in relevant systems.
Prepare monthly accruals related to trade spend and customer distribution costs.
Support audit activities and SOX compliance controls.
Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, and more efficient ways of working across the finance and commercial organization.
Build and develop dashboards and reporting tools to provide visibility on cash flow, overdue balances, customer performance, and financial trends.
But, you know. These are just the things we can think of right now! This might be the job today, but tomorrow brings more change, so being light on your feet and willing to embrace the unknown is a verrrrrry big help.
In this role, you will report to the Head of Finance, and the location for this role is Amsterdam.
