We are looking for a hands-on, practical intern to join our studio. In this role, you will help us bridge the gap between our workshop and the outside world by turning our daily work into clear, engaging content.
Who we are: We are Studio RAP, an architecture firm based in the Innovation Dock in Rotterdam. We combine computational design with our own fabrication methods to create highly expressive, 3D-printed ceramic architecture. We design and produce facades for high-end hospitality, luxury retail brands, and project developers. In our studio, our team works directly alongside industrial robotic arms and a large kiln. We don't just draft buildings; we bring our designs to life right here in the workshop.
What you will do: As our communication intern, you will work directly with our architects to help execute our social media and communication strategy. You will be guided by our team as you take on the following practical tasks:
- Managing our daily social media presence, using Instagram for visual updates and LinkedIn for business outreach.
- Creating photo and video content on the shop floor: capturing the design process, the robots shaping the raw clay, and the transformative glazing and firing process.
- Formatting and preparing content for our newsletter, which reaches our network of 750 industry contacts.
- Assisting in compiling high-quality visuals and texts for award submissions, PR, and press publications.
What you bring:
- Practical experience with social media marketing and content creation.
- Good working knowledge of Photoshop and video editing software.
- Excellent writing and verbal communication skills; fluent in English.
- A proactive, hands-on mindset and a genuine interest in our craft and new technologies.
- Experience with 3D modeling software (specifically Rhino) is a strong plus.
