About the role
As a Dev (COTS) Engineer, you will be part of an Agile squad responsible for maintaining and enhancing a complex mortgage application landscape. You’ll work closely with engineers, testers, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery while continuously improving processes and automation.
Your responsibilities include:
- Maintaining and supporting mortgage application systems and third-party software solutions.
- Developing and maintaining automated regression tests using Java, BDD, and Selenium.
- Performing functional testing on mortgage servicing and administration applications.
- Managing software version testing, deployment activities, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Supporting business users and collaborating with stakeholders across the mortgage chain.
- Contributing to continuous improvements in testing, deployment, and operational processes.

About you
- Extensive experience with test automation and functional testing.
- Functional knowledge of mortgage products and financial applications.
- Experience with mortgage servicing or mortgage administration platforms.
- Experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker.
- Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies.
- Fluent in both Dutch and English.
- Comfortable challenging decisions, providing feedback, and driving quality improvements.
Nice to have
- Experience with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot.
- Experience with DevOps tooling, monitoring, and observability (Grafana, Kibana).
- Linux and Windows automation experience.
- Experience with Virtualize or virtual test environments.
- Experience within complex enterprise environments.
