We are looking for an Analytics Insight Consultant to join our Analytics Solutions Delivery team, supporting clients in shaping their Revenue Growth Management (RGM) strategies – with a strong focus on Price & Promotion optimisation.
What will you be doing?
As an Analytics Insight Consultant, you will play a critical, high-impact role in supporting FMCG manufacturers and retailers in delivering their growth ambitions.
Your work will focus on analysing the impact of in-store sales, range, pricing, and promotional strategies, identifying opportunities to optimise performance, and delivering actionable recommendations across:
- Price & Promo (RGM)
- Assortment & ranging
- Shopper analysis
This is achieved through the use of econometric models and advanced analytics solutions, leveraging EPOS data to generate commercially relevant insights.
You will collaborate with a local Netherlands-based team and the wider EMEA Solutions Delivery organisation, contributing across the full project lifecycle—from scoping and analytics to storytelling and client engagement.
Role Structure
This role combines four key dimensions:
1. Insights & Consulting
- Leverage data and analytics to develop clear, concise, and compelling recommendations
- Translate complex analysis into commercial insights, particularly within Price & Promo optimisation
- Generate new perspectives, ideas, and innovations to solve client challenges
- Connect industry trends and macroeconomic factors to deliver executive-level insights
- Present complex analytical outputs in a clear and actionable way
- Support and contribute to RGM strategies including pricing, promotions, and assortment
2. Impactful Presence
- Deliver high-quality presentations and storytelling, both internally and externally
- Communicate confidently with all levels of the organisation, including senior stakeholders and client leadership teams
- Maintain a professional and credible presence in all client interactions
3. Client Management & Value Creation
- Build strong, trusted relationships with clients and act as a strategic advisor
- Manage clients across multiple projects, ensuring delivery excellence
- Drive commercial impact by supporting better decision-making
- Contribute to long-term client growth through Circana’s analytics and consulting solutions
4. Innovation & Capability Development
- Contribute to the enhancement of Circana’s analytics solutions and methodologies
- Support internal testing of new products and services
- Build internal and external reputation as an expert in RGM and analytics
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery & Ownership
- Lead and deliver ad hoc and contracted analytics projects, ensuring quality and timeliness
- Own project scoping, design, and execution aligned to client business challenges
- Manage project timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations
Analytics & Insight Generation
- Translate business questions into structured analytical approaches
- Review and validate modelling inputs and outputs, ensuring both statistical robustness and commercial relevance
- Deliver actionable insights focused on Price & Promo optimisation and broader RGM strategies
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with offshore modelling teams, ensuring smooth delivery
- Collaborate across consulting, analytics, and commercial teams
- Engage with cross-functional stakeholders across the EMEA region
Client Engagement
- Prepare and deliver high-impact client presentations
- Support clients in embedding insights into decision-making
- Provide training on analytics tools and outputs where required
Capability Development
- Build expertise in Circana’s analytics platforms and solutions
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing (e.g., training sessions, thought leadership)
Requirements
Location & Language
- Role is based in the Netherlands
- Fluency in Dutch (business level) is required, along with strong English communication skills
Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (e.g., Economics, Business, Social Sciences, or a related field)
- 3–6 years of relevant experience in FMCG, Retail, Market Research, or Consulting
- Experience working in an analytics or consultancy environment is highly desirable
Industry & Functional Expertise
- Strong understanding of FMCG / CPG and retail industry dynamics
- Experience or exposure to Revenue Growth Management (RGM), especially Price & Promo
- Experience in assortment, range, or space optimisation is highly desirable
Analytical & Technical Skills
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets
- Ability to translate data into clear, actionable business insights
- High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- No advanced statistical background required, but must demonstrate strong data literacy
Consulting & Professional Skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling abilities
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including senior-level engagement
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong commercial acumen and business judgment
