The department
The Social Sustainability team plays a vital role in driving HEINEKEN’s positive impact on society by fostering inclusive workplaces, strengthening communities, and ensuring equitable opportunities across our operations and value chain.
As part of HEINEKEN’s broader Sustainability agenda, the team focuses on embedding Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) into the way we work, while contributing to our ambitions around social impact, well-being, and inclusive growth.
In this internship, you’ll have the unique opportunity to contribute to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, supporting global initiatives that promote a culture of belonging and help create meaningful impact for our people and communities.
The internship
- Assist in planning and executing campaigns that promote DE&I; awareness and engagement.
- Coordinate activities with DE&I; ambassadors and Employee Resource Groups worldwide.
- Gather and analyse data to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Throughout your internship, you’ll get hands-on experience in global talent strategies, working closely with professionals across the organization. You’ll also have the freedom to shape your own internship experience by taking ownership of specific projects that inspire you.
During your internship you will get the opportunity to get to know HEINEKEN as a company, also outside your department. We give you the trust and freedom, so you can work like a real entrepreneur. We like to bring the outside world inside and therefore we embrace new, fresh ideas with enthusiasm. Of course, always with the guidance that is right for you.
The terms of employment
- A full-time internship, starting on September 1, 2026
- The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (to be agreed upon with your internship supervisor)
- Your home office will be located in Amsterdam.
- At HEINEKEN, we work with a hybrid model, typically spending three days a week at the office and two days working from home
- You will receive a monthly internship allowance of €650 gross based on a 40-hour workweek
- You will earn 2 vacation days per month (based on a full-time internship)
- If you do not have a public transport student subscription, your commuting costs will be fully reimbursed
The start of your internship
Together with a diverse group of interns from different departments you will start your internship at HEINEKEN. Together you will be introduced to the organization. Furthermore, you can organize fun activities with your fellow interns.

- Team worker with the ability to lead your own projects and juggle priorities
- Excellent communication skills, well-versed at wrapping up complex ideas and projects in a concise way and ability to connect with diverse people and cultures

- Passionate or curious about Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
- HBO or WO education
- Experienced user of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. A bonus if you are familiar with working data analytics tools such as PowerBI)
