About the position:
The technical buyer is responsible for procurement activities, developing sourcing strategies, and optimizing supplier relationships to support organizational objectives. This role requires advanced knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, cost optimization, and risk mitigation, while ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.
In this role, you will report to the Head of Projects and will work closely with different stakeholders to ensure delivery on time, competitive pricing, according high-quality standards.
You are responsible for:
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for assigned categories or projects, aligned with company objectives.
- Arrange procurement activities, including supplier identification, negotiations, and contract award.
- Monitor supplier performance, conduct reviews, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Analyze market trends, supplier risks, and total cost of ownership to inform procurement decisions.
- Resolve supplier issues, disputes and supply chain disruptions/delay.
- Maintain accurate (procurement) documentation and reporting.
- Fill, maintain and update the ERP system.
- Setup, update and maintain Reconciliation sheets and report significant variations to the Head of Projects.
- Setup Order Acknowledgement + Change Order documents
- Update the Assembly planning with Purchasing info, to present the latest situation.

Svanehøj EPS consists of a team of experts in innovative pump solutions and is active worldwide in a niche market as part of an international group. We develop, sell and maintain pump installations for industry, maritime sector and offshore.
About you:
Proactive, decisive and strong communication skills with experience in the technical sector is a combination we are looking for. The function requires HBO education level, preferably in a technical engineering or commercial field.
Speaking and writing Dutch and English is not a problem for you. German is a plus. Furthermore, you have a great passion for technology, you are solution oriented, results driven, analytical and a teamplayer.
About the conditions:
· A challenging position for 40 hours per week.
· Market-conform salary, appropriate to your level of education and experience.
· Travel expenses reimbursement.
· 25 vacation days and 13 ATV days (on a full-time basis).
· Holiday pay of 8%.
· Employment contract for 1 year with the prospect of a permanent position.

Obtaining a certificate of conduct is a mandatory part of the procedure. The costs of the application are reimbursed by EPS.
