As an Electrical Engineer in the Innovations (R&D) unit, you contribute to the full development lifecycle, from concept exploration to design, prototyping, testing, and implementation.
You will work in multidisciplinary teams on new projects where iteration and learning are key. Your role combines engineering design, system integration, and hands-on validation.
Your responsibilities include:
- Developing new concepts and technologies into feasible electrical solutions;
- Defining system architectures and high-level designs for new equipment and modifications;
- Specifying, selecting, and integrating electrical components and subsystems;
- Collaborating with mechanical, automation, and operational disciplines to realise integrated solutions;
- Working with suppliers and external partners to deliver innovative systems;
- Supporting prototyping, testing, and validation activities , both onshore and offshore;
- Troubleshooting and improving systems during development and commissioning;
Taking ownership of subsystems throughout the development process.

Projects within the R&D unit include:
- Developing new equipment to support offshore operations, such as heavy lifting and pipelay activities;
- Motion sensor equipment for vessels, barges, and platforms;
Modifications to existing assets to meet the latest standards.
