Furthermore, SFC Energy co-develops and manufactures highly complex and reliable coils & linear drives for semiconductor manufacturing equipment and analytical applications. SFC is operating from its R&D and manufacturing locations in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, and Almelo, the Netherlands.
As a Strategic Buyer, you are responsible for the procurement of raw materials and components following the introduction of new products. You manage contracts, maintain relationships with (international) suppliers, select and evaluate suppliers, and collaborate with various internal departments to ensure an efficient and reliable supply chain.
In your role, you will:
- Develop and implement annual supplier strategies aligned with the organization's procurement objectives;
- Research and analyze the supplier market in close collaboration with Engineering and Project Buying teams;
- Define and align purchasing specifications with internal stakeholders;
- Source, select, and evaluate suppliers based on quality, technical capabilities, delivery performance, and commercial criteria;
- Evaluate supplier quotations, negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms, and make supplier selection recommendations in line with company policies;
- Monitor supplier performance, conduct supplier evaluations, and drive continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers;
- Identify and qualify new suppliers by conducting market research and visiting suppliers and industry trade fairs;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a reliable, cost-effective, and resilient supply chain.
What should your background look like?
- You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in (technical)business administration or a similar field;
- You have experience in purchasing in a high-tech environment;
- You are knowledgeable about electronics or mechatronics; high power components are a plus;
- You have knowledge about procurement processes and understanding of internal processes and procedures;
- You are direct, proactive and hands-on;
- You have strong negotiation skills, can think strategically, have skills in risk assessment, decision making and leadership;
- You are fluent in Dutch and English.
