Job summary:
The Quality officer is part of the QA/QC team, which ensures that the products Phageguard provides are fit for purpose, are consistent and meet both external and internal requirements with respect to Quality and Food Safety. This includes legal compliance and customer expectations. The Quality Officer supports the Quality Manager in Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities.
Tasks and responsibilities:
· Support the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System in accordance with FSSC 22000 and FDA requirements
· Assist in maintaining compliance with external standards (FDA, Halal, Kosher and Organic).
· Responsible for reviewing and monitoring of QC results
· Coordinate end-product analysis and support the product release process
· Review of batch documentation
· Maintain and update quality documentation (SOP, WI, forms)
· Follow-up of incidents, deviations, CAPAs and change controls.
· Provide support to various departments on quality and food safety-related topics.
· Support customers, regulatory and certifying bodies request related to quality and food safety
· Responsible for training quality personnel on procedures and work instructions
· Assisting in both external and internal audits
Background:
· A completed BSc or MSc education Food Technology and Quality
· Experience with FSSC 22000 or equivalent (BRC/IFS/ISO 9001) is desired
· Good command of English language, understanding Dutch is nice but not essential
· Accurate & eye for detail. Affinity for quality. Pro-active, team player taking ownership for personal and organizational responsibilities
