We are looking for a Food Technologist for our Innovation Center in Wageningen
Who are we?
Yili Innovation Center Europe is part of the Innovation Ecosystem of Asia's leading dairy company, Yili. Yili provides healthy and nutritious food products to consumers globally with core categories of milk, yogurt, ice cream, powders, and cheese. We work intensively with partners along the value chain in the fields of nutrition and health, product and process technology, and related fields to identify new opportunities and innovations for our products. Our center on the campus of Wageningen University operates its own laboratory and pilot plant facilities.
What will you do?
- Work in a broad area at the interplay of microbiology, digestion, structure, and enzymatic modifications in food.
· Design and execution of experiments in our labs.
· Independent management and execution of projects.
· Give advice and guidance to questions from colleagues and work closely together with colleagues in China and across the world.
- Identify partners, ingredients and technologies with potential to improve the differentiating position of our products.
· Support in the management of our laboratory and pilot plant.
· Travel to visit business partners, represent Yili at conferences and to our locations in China.
· Flexibility to contribute to other tasks in the team and related fields of expertise.
Your Background
- MSc in Food Technology or alike.
- Experience in food microbiology and technology, especially dairy products, with about 5 years of experience.
- Independent working with willingness to ‘bite’ into new topics/areas.
- Flexible personality with and good team player.
- Fluent in English (Chinese language is an advantage) and strong written and oral communication skills
