Core Purpose
- Support the efficient operation and maintenance of the CCU fleet through a combination of hands-on yard activities and administrative coordination, ensuring offshore containers remain compliant, well maintained, and available for operational use.
- Act as a key liaison between yard operations, sales and rental coordination, and external service providers to facilitate inspections, maintenance, repairs, and fleet availability.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for all container-related activities within the CCU function.
- Carry out routine maintenance of offshore containers, including cosmetic painting, minor repairs, and general upkeep, ensuring units are maintained in a safe, compliant, and operational condition.
- Perform yard-based activities including cleaning, preparing, inspecting, and maintaining CCUs, addressing minor defects such as surface damage and door adjustments to ensure equipment remains safe, compliant, and operational.
- Coordinate and support the recertification of CCUs with approved certification bodies, ensuring all units remain compliant and fit for operational use.
- Assist in the tracking, organisation, and management of CCUs within the yard, monitoring units in storage and ensuring their availability to meet operational requirements.
- Support the mobilisation of CCUs by preparing units for deployment and coordinating logistics requirements to ensure timely and efficient delivery to operational locations.
- Liaise with external suppliers and service providers to coordinate container-related inspections as required.
- Identify and assess larger repair requirements, coordinating with relevant internal teams or external vendors to ensure timely and effective resolution.
- Work closely with clients to support operational and rental requirements, ensuring CCU availability is aligned with business needs and service levels are maintained.
- Maintain accurate records of CCU maintenance, certification status, and movements within internal systems to ensure full traceability and compliance.
- Provide general administrative support, including handling telephone enquiries and assisting with office-based tasks as required to support smooth day-to-day operations.
- Provide technical advice and information to clients and prospective clients to support informed decision-making and ensure appropriate use of CCU assets.
- Promote and maintain high standards of housekeeping for CCUs, taking ownership of an organised, safe, and efficient working environment.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to support effective collaborative and efficient delivery of CCU operations.
- Demonstrate a proactive, self-driven approach by taking ownership of tasks and identifying opportunities for improvement.
QHSE Responsibilities
To have a general understanding of the areas of our QHSE Management System and OEG’s QHSE aims and objectives that are relevant to the role.
Comply with the requirements of OEG Energy Group Policies and the responsibilities within the wider QHSE Management System.

Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role within a relevant operational or yard-based environment.
- Previous experience in a logistics or offshore-related role is advantageous.
- Previous experience and knowledge of the offshore CCU industry.
- Demonstrate a can-do attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the sales and hire/lease process.
- Possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to reassess and adjust priorities to meet changing operational demands and deadlines.
- Demonstrate the ability to identify and effectively resolve problems in a timely and practical manner.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills to effectively manage workload and maintain accurate records.
- Possess a good command of the English language, both written and spoken, to ensure clear and effective communication.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, to support effective administration and reporting tasks.
Qualifications
- Hold a mid-level technical education relevant to the role.
- Hold a valid SCC (VCA) certification.
