Lead Production Operator
Are you an experienced operator who enjoys taking the lead on the shop floor?
We are looking for a Lead Production Operator who not only ensures a smooth production process but also enjoys supporting colleagues and continuously improving the way we work. You will be a hands-on leader within our production team, assisting the Operations Manager with the day-to-day coordination of the shop floor.
Working alongside a team of approximately 5 to 6 colleagues, you will help ensure our production runs efficiently, safely and according to schedule.
What will you do?
· Actively work in production and independently run production orders.
· Guide and support a small team of approximately 5 to 6 colleagues.
· Coordinate the daily activities across our Laser Cutting, Panel Bending, Welding, and Powder Coating departments.
· Set up, operate, and optimize production machinery.
· Monitor production planning, quality, safety, and output.
· Identify and resolve first-line machine issues.
· Coordinate routine maintenance activities.
· Train and onboard new colleagues.
· Work closely with the Team Leader and the Logistics Coordinator to ensure production and material flow remain on track.
· Identify bottlenecks and bring the right people together to solve problems quickly and effectively.
· Contribute ideas to improve production processes and increase efficiency.
· Record production data and report to the Operations Manager.
Who are you?
· You have an MBO-level education or equivalent, preferably in a technical field.
· You have experience as an operator in a manufacturing environment.
· You naturally take initiative, and colleagues see you as someone they can rely on.
· You enjoy guiding a small team while remaining actively involved in production yourself.
· You have strong technical insight and a proactive mindset.
· You communicate easily with colleagues across different departments.
· You have a good command of both Dutch and English.
