Data Flow Engineer | NiFi | Fraud & Cyber Security | Financial Enterprise
Join a specialized data orchestration team building the data flows that power fraud and cyber security analytics for a large financial enterprise. You’ll work hands-on with Apache NiFi, collaborate daily with an international offshore squad, and contribute directly to keeping customers safe from fraud – on a long-term contract with genuine extension potential.
About the role
As a Data Flow Engineer, you’ll join the Data Orchestration Squad within a Fraud & Cyber Security data team, responsible for the design, build, and optimization of data flows feeding fraud-analytics data marts. You’ll work in a truly international, agile setup alongside teams both onsite in the Netherlands and offshore. You will:
- Maintain, create, and adjust data flows that structure and route data from a range of incoming systems into the data mart.
- Collaborate closely with an offshore squad as one team, in a fast-paced agile environment.
- Drive automation initiatives using modern scripting and programming techniques.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks to minimize incidents and outages, and support NiFi-consumers across the organization.
Who are you?
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Apache NiFi and data flow engineering
- Proactive in spotting improvements and solving problems before they escalate
- A genuine team player who thrives in cross-functional, international collaboration
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
- Flexible with working hours, given close collaboration with an offshore squad across time zones
- Nice to have: knowledge of Python and/or Bash (reading and adjusting existing code)
- Nice to have: experience running and adjusting CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps and/or GitHub)
- Nice to have: experience setting up monitoring on NiFi flows
