Our small but rapidly growing Automation Engineering team is looking for a fulltime colleague to join us at our European Headquarters to support the manufacturing of our advanced medical devices!
In this exciting position, you will design and develop automated equipment used in our manufacturing plant in Amersfoort, supporting different teams including Production, Maintenance, and Engineering. You will work closely with our internal Automation Engineers based in the US, who will train you during the startup phase, and maintain a close collaboration with you throughout all the project phases.

This fulltime position is based in Amersfoort (NL)

To allow collaboration with the colleagues in California (US), you will work on a flexible work schedule (between 8.00 and 21.00)

During the design phase you can work from home 1 or 2 days a week, while the build, troubleshooting and testing phases will require you and the team to work from the office. Evening calls can always be done from home
Key Responsibilities
-
Be part of the automation and improvement of our manufacturing processes to produce medical devices
-
Create SolidWorks models, drawings, and assemblies

Provide technical support, carry out root cause analysis, and take corrective/preventive actions

Perform process capability studies, evaluations, and cost analysis

Develop, update, and review engineering documents such as instructions, drawings, test procedures, and reports

Investigate new tooling, materials, prototypes, manufacturing processes, and technologies

Research and qualify new suppliers/vendors, including setting the technical requirements including requirements settings

Follow internal and external trainings to ensure you follow safety and quality rules (e.g. CE, ISO, etc.)
Requirements:
- Engineering degree (HBO/HTS/BSc/MSc) within industrial, manufacturing or mechanical engineering, or equivalent engineering experience

Experience in a highly regulated environment with planning and coordinating machine design automation processes

Technical analytical skills combined with a hands-on approach

Understanding of technical reasoning, prototyping, and manufacturing processes

Experience in 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks,AutoCAD or equivalent

Experience with ERP, SAP, and/or Product LifecycleManagement applications is preferred

Excellent in English both verbal and written
