About the role:
In this pivotal role, you will act as a bridge between business and IT, translating business needs into effective BI solutions using a variety of analysis and reporting tools. You will work closely with key stakeholders to understand and leverage Landal’s datasets, establish standards and templates, and promote best practices across the organization.
Develop and maintain high-quality analytics data models, BI reports, and semantic layers that power data-driven decisions across Finance, Commerce, and Operations. The Analytics Engineer works hands-on in Databricks, DBT, and Power BI to translate raw data into reliable, well-documented assets contributing to our Customer 360 initiative, marketing attribution models, and cost-to-LTV analytics under the guidance of the Lead Analytics Engineer.
What will you do:
As a Analytics Engineer at Landal, you will play a key role in bridging the gap between business and IT, helping our organization make data-informed decisions at both strategic and tactical levels.
In this role, you will:
Build and maintain DBT data models in Databricks, ensuring data quality, performance, and documentation standards are met.
This position offers a dynamic mix of hands-on development and advisory responsibilities, allowing you to have a real impact on the organization’s data-driven decision-making.
Your work location is our new office on Wibautstraat in Amsterdam. Of course, working from home is possible, but it is desirable that you work from the office at least 3 days a week.
For this position, we can only consider applicants who are already residing in the Netherlands and hold a valid work permit.
This is you:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Business Information Management, Engineering, or a related discipline;
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Data Analyst or Analytics Engineer;
- Ideally you have some understanding of AI applied analytics, such as Databricks Genie;
- Proven experience in querying, analyzing, and managing large datasets;
- Advanced proficiency in BI and analytics tools such as Power BI, DBT, Databricks, Power Apps, or similar;
- Strong experience in dashboard development and data visualization, with understanding of data relationships;
- SQL proficiency and experience with Data Modeling (Kimball) and Semantic Models;
- Hands-on experience creating comprehensive business reports and interactive dashboards; Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical BI solutions;
- Analytical skills for interpreting critical and complex data sets.

An annual contract with a trial period of one month, whereby we would of course ultimately be happy to employ you permanently.
A salary between €3.600,- and €5.100,- gross per month on a full-time basis*.

- A full-time employment contract at Landal has a 38-hour working week, which is equivalent to a 5-day working week. If you have a part-time employment contract, your salary and vacation days are calculated pro rata.
