What to Expect
The EMEA Service Training Team is seeking an Instructional Designer to create engaging educational experiences for EMEA Tesla Service employees. The Instructional Designer will scope out, plan, and design training programs in multiple formats for all field-based Service roles, ensuring our learners are guided through cohesive, impactful learning journeys. This will include engaging video content, e-learning, guides, web development (Microsoft SharePoint) Instructor-led courses and more.
This individual must be creative, organized, energized by quick timelines, and excited to change the world. The ideal candidate is not satisfied with status quo - their target is exceptional.
This role will partner strategically with multiple teams form the training and service organization as well as subject matter experts to create high-quality learning materials. Tesla changes constantly, which means that we are looking for someone who can adapt and flex as needed to deliver great content to our audience, when they need it and in the right format. Ideally, we want someone who is a tech-minded, yet able to convey complex messages in simple forms. We are looking for a great communicator who is passionate about helping others.
What You'll Do-
Design, develop course and programs, including and refine classroom, virtual classroom, online, video, skill matrix and self-paced training programs that meet the learning objectives for all field service roles across EMEA

Own multiple instructional design projects from beginning to end, including course outlines, storyboards and scripts, flexing as needed within the fast-paced environment and shifting priorities. Create complete courses and programs with structured paths, assessments, and enhanced learning elements

Partner with project managers, stakeholders, and subject matter experts throughout the design process to ensure that the business need is fully understood and addressed by the learning program

Organize multiple course modules, lessons, and materials into clear and cohesive curriculum. Write task-based assessments that measure pre-agreed learning objectives and identify and build content delivery strategies that provide the best learning experience

Ensure that training metrics that measure the success of the projects are identified and measured before, during, and after implementation

Align development timing and update on progress with training managers, project managers, and relevant stakeholders

Work with global teams and key EMEA partner organizations to gather region-specific content and build localized training for EMEA-wide implementation. Work within brand and department visual design standards

Manage tasks and information flow using available project management tools, including JIRA, SharePoint, Confluence and Excel Attributes
What You'll Bring-
Proven experience with e-Learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360 (Rise and Storyline)

Excellent knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design model

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite development software is a plus

Experience maintaining or updating course material within a learning management system

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, especially with problem solving and relationship building

Travel may be required as needed to support the role, including visits to Service centers, training hubs and body repair centers
