About Rable
Rable develops patented truss-based mounting systems for solar panels on flat roofs, specifically targeting the roughly 45% of commercial flat roofs that are structurally unsuitable for traditional ballasted systems. With EU and US patents and Eurocode certification, Rable focuses on projects where roof weight and load capacity are a constraint. Rable entered the UK market at the start of 2026 and is now building out its commercial foundation there.
The role
This is a hands-on role for someone who can operate autonomously and build a brand in a new market from the ground up. We are looking for a senior sales leader to take strategic ownership of the UK market, while also staying close to the deal itself. This is not a purely strategic role: you run sales conversations yourself, shape project proposals, and send out quotes, alongside setting the broader commercial direction. You operate with full autonomy, working closely with the Commercial Director to align UK strategy with group direction, while making independent calls on how to win the market and close deals.
Key responsibilities:
- Define and own the UK sales strategy, including channel mix, pricing approach, and go-to-market priorities
- Run sales conversations directly with prospects, EPCs, structural engineers, and roofing contractors
- Configure and shape individual projects, including technical/commercial fit, and prepare and send out quotes and proposals
- Onboard, manage, and scale the wholesale distribution partnership (non-stock, per-project model); negotiate terms and exclusivity commitments
- Set and evolve commercial KPIs and targets for the UK market, in agreement with the Commercial Director
- Build and own the direct relationship network with EPCs, structural engineers, roofing contractors, and key accounts
- Drive outbound campaigns (LinkedIn, cold acquisition) in collaboration with marketing
- Build the foundation for a future UK team as volume grows.
- Report to the Commercial Director on pipeline, revenue, and market development
What you bring
- Significant track record as a sales leader who has both set strategy and personally closed deals, ideally in construction, solar energy, or a related technical sector in the UK
- Hands-on mentality: comfortable running sales calls, configuring projects, and sending quotes yourself, not just directing others
- Strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution; comfortable being the only commercial person(for now) on the ground while the market scales
- Experience negotiating and managing distribution or wholesale partnerships at a senior level
- Strong network within UK solar, construction, or EPC circles is a strong plus
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable operating in an international, fast-growing organization with direct lines to leadership
