Hostelle Amsterdam, Europe’s first women-only hostel, is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Junior Assistant Manager. This role is perfect for someone at the beginning of her career who wants to gain hands-on experience in hospitality, daily operations and team coordination.
We are looking for someone with the right personality: warm, approachable and positive, but also responsible and confident enough to take initiative. Someone who naturally connects with guests and colleagues, brings good energy to the hostel and knows how to create a welcoming atmosphere.
You will work closely with the Hostel Manager and gradually learn all aspects of managing a busy, international hostel.
Your responsibilities:
- Support the Hostel Manager with daily operations
- Guide and coordinate our international volunteers
- Help ensure reception runs smoothly
- Communicate clear expectations and provide constructive feedback
- Assist with solving day-to-day operational issues
- Work approximately two reception shifts per week
- Help create fun and engaging content for TikTok and Instagram
- Contribute ideas for hostel activities, events and the overall guest experience

- You are confident communicating with different personalities
- You are not afraid to take initiative or give feedback
- You enjoy working in an international environment
- You speak English confidently; Dutch is an advantage
- You are comfortable appearing in or helping create social-media content
- You live in or near Amsterdam and are flexible with working hours
