As our Product Owner, you maximize the value delivered by all our products. You're at the steering wheel of what we build: translating user needs, business goals, and data into a clear roadmap, and making the calls on what gets prioritized and what waits.
You're part of the Product team, bringing your own expertise in product strategy and prioritization. This role is for someone who isn't afraid to say no, can defend a decision with data, and knows how to keep engineers and other stakeholders aligned on the same goal.
The Product team at Check is multidisciplinary. Most of the team are top-class software engineers who built the entire Check platform in-house: from our native consumer apps to internal back-office tools to battle-tested infrastructure. Alongside the engineers, you'll find data analysts, a designer, and a QA manager.
As Product Owner, you'll work closely with the Head of Product to shape our product strategy and set the team's direction across domains and products. You'll own the roadmap for everything we build in-house, both products and infrastructure. Your job is to identify the most pressing problems and design and refine solid solutions you can ship fast.
To keep us on track, you'll run the bi-weekly sprints, making sure everyone has what they need to work efficiently and effectively. You're ready to handle a fast-changing environment, demanding stakeholders, and several complex projects at once.
In short, it's your job to:
Define and own the product roadmap across domains and products, based on user needs, business goals, and technical strategy
Shape product strategy and translate it into clear requirements that engineers and designers can build from
Prioritize the backlog and make data-driven trade-offs to focus on the most important problems
Run our sprints: leading planning, creating and updating tickets, and keeping work on track
Keep engineers, designers, and stakeholders aligned on the goal and the why behind it
Ship value fast by scoping tightly and orchestrating releases
Use data and user feedback to validate decisions and measure impact after launch
Communicate progress, decisions, and trade-offs clearly across the company
HBO, university, or similar education, ideally in a relevant field.
2-4 years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role.
You can turn ambiguity into a clear plan, and a clear plan into shipped features.
Strong communicator who can align technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You make decisions based on data, but aren't paralyzed without it.
A keen eye for design and usability
Commercial sense and basic understanding of P&L
Experience working in an agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, or similar) is a plus.
Affinity with mobility, logistics, or consumer apps is a plus.
If you're excited about aligning a team around a clear product direction, we'd love to hear from you.
