Position overview
As a Senior Manager, Supply Planning for Stanley, you are responsible for leading short‑ and long‑term supply planning for the EMEA region—developing buy strategies, optimizing inventory levels, projecting supply against varying demand, and driving continuous improvement across the planning network. You will run integrated planning processes (S&OP/IBP), create and govern supply planning KPIs, and use data to guide decisions that improve service, revenue, and profitability. You will engage cross‑functionally with Finance, Technology, Inventory Management, Fulfillment Operations/Logistics, Demand Planning, and Commercial/Sales to ensure integrated planning, smooth product availability, and successful new product introductions and transitions. You will also manage and develop a supply planning team, setting clear goals, building capability, and elevating team performance. This role reports to the Senior Director of Supply Chain.
What You'll Do
- Lead integrated supply planning across EMEA and APAC, running S&OP/IBP cycles, ensuring strong alignment with Demand Planning, Logistics, Commercial/Sales, and Finance.
- Develop and oversee buy plans at the part/SKU level using on‑hand inventory, forecasts, safety stock, lead times and variability, seasonality, and market factors.
- Own inventory health and right‑size stock across the EMEA and APAC warehousing network; segment the portfolio (SKU stratification) to prioritize actions and policies.
- Set and maintain safety stock at the item level, applying seasonality, service targets, variability, and supplier performance to balance cost and service.
- Identify and mitigate supply–demand imbalances through quantitative analysis, scenario planning, and constraint management across the horizontal supply chain.
- Manage lead times and capacity with factory liaisons and fulfillment partners; provide accurate weekly/monthly production and replenishment plans that meet demand and partner needs.
- Facilitate NPIs and transitions (new product introductions, EOL/discontinuations) in close partnership with Product Creation, Commercial/Sales, and Supply Chain.
- Create, implement, and monitor KPIs (e.g., inventory‑to‑sales ratio, inventory turns, fill rate, % active vs. non‑active inventory, weeks of supply), meeting or exceeding targets.
- Run monthly supply reviews with Sales/Commercial to validate demand, reconcile supply, and elevate risks/opportunities with clear action plans.
- Highlight supply challenges early to the right stakeholders and work with factories/vendors to mitigate constraints and protect customer experience.
- Drive reporting and S&OP readiness, compiling and translating insights for executive‑level forums; ensure data integrity and decision quality.
- Continuously improve processes and tools, leveraging enterprise planning systems (e.g., Kinaxis RapidResponse/Maestro) and analytics (e.g., Power BI) to streamline work and optimize the network.
- Manage and develop talent, providing coaching, feedback, goal setting, and growth opportunities for your direct report(s); foster a culture of accountability and learning.
- Support company and brand initiatives and goals, improving network productivity year‑over‑year and aligning capacity decisions with the sales plan.
Who You Are
- Passionate about delivering an excellent customer experience and achieving strong business outcomes through reliable product availability.
- Naturally curious and highly analytical, comfortable uncovering the "why" behind trends and translating data into clear, actionable insights.
- An effective communicator who excels at leading discussions, presenting to cross‑functional and executive audiences, and aligning stakeholders around a plan.
- Skilled at prioritizing, organizing, and managing work in a fast‑moving environment, with a strong focus on problem‑prevention and problem‑solving.
- Driven by process, metrics, and continuous improvement, consistently identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and eliminate non‑value‑added activities.
- Able to balance data‑driven thinking with practical intuition when shaping scenarios, solving complex challenges, and making recommendations.
- Strong in business acumen and analytical depth, with high attention to detail and the ability to listen actively and synthesize multiple viewpoints.
- Self‑directed and proactive, comfortable leading initiatives independently while collaborating seamlessly across a matrixed organization.
- Resilient and focused under pressure, capable of navigating ambiguity, multitasking, and providing steady leadership in a dynamic, international setting.
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, mathematics, business, or a related quantitative discipline (Master's preferred or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of progressive supply planning experience (consumer products/omnichannel/e‑commerce a plus).
- 5+ years of leadership experience, ideally in an international or matrix environment, including people development and performance management.
- Advanced skills in Excel; experience with Kinaxis (RapidResponse/Maestro) or similar enterprise planning tools.
- Experience with Power BI (preferred) and proficiency with SQL (preferred).
- Core strength in advanced planning concepts, principles, and best practices (including forecasting, regression/causal analysis, inventory optimization, and S&OP/IBP).
