About Earthkeep Farmcommon
Earthkeep Farmcommon is reimagining what a data center can be. Instead of another windowless box that draws down the grid and gives nothing back, we're building vertically integrated, farm-integrated campuses that turn a data center's waste heat, CO2, and power into fuel for something that matters: thriving local agriculture, resilient jobs, and a genuinely lower-carbon way to power the AI economy. Every Earthkeep site is proof that computing and climate progress don't have to be at odds.
The model is proven, not theoretical: it was tested and validated on a pilot farm in Vermont. Earthkeep is now raising a Series A to build out its core leadership team, advance predevelopment and engineering on its first flagship site, and bring this model to more communities across the UK and US that deserve the jobs and investment that come with it.
Earthkeep is an early-stage company by design — several senior seats, including this one, are open right now, and the people who fill them won't just execute against a plan; they'll help prove that the next generation of data centers can be a climate asset, not a liability.
Head of Infrastructure
Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands (HQ), with regular site travel · Reports to: Founder/CEO · Type: Full-time, leadership team
Compensation: €175,000 base, plus meaningful equity
The role
Every foundation poured and every partner brought to the table gets Earthkeep one step closer to proving, physically and permanently, that a data center can share its power and heat with the community around it instead of hoarding it. The Head of Infrastructure owns delivery: turning an approved site and a signed structure into a built, operating facility, on schedule and on budget. This is the most hands-on of Earthkeep's open leadership seats — equal parts construction/delivery management, partner coordination, and site-level operating leadership.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end delivery of Earthkeep's flagship site and the sites that follow it: predevelopment, engineering, construction oversight, and commissioning.
- Coordinate directly with specialized delivery partners — CHP/energy engineering firms, data center construction contractors, greenhouse/CEA designers — as the party accountable for the whole campus coming together.
- Build and own the project schedule and budget for each site, flagging risk early and managing it visibly.
- Work closely with the CTO on technical standards and with outside counsel on partner/contractor agreements.
- Hire and lead the on-the-ground delivery team as sites move from predevelopment into construction, starting with the project-level Project Director role below.
What you bring
- 5+ years delivering large capital projects — data centers, energy infrastructure, or complex industrial facilities — with direct P&L or budget accountability.
- Experience managing multiple specialized subcontractors/partners on a single integrated site, not just a single-discipline build.
- Comfort operating as employee #1 on the infrastructure side of an early-stage company — this role builds the function, it doesn't inherit one.
- Willingness to travel regularly to project sites, including the UK.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Amsterdam. Extensive travel required as each project site develops.
What you should expect
Speed and transparency in the hiring process:
- Send us your CV and a short cover letter on how your experience applies to this role.
- If you’re shortlisted, we’ll let you know within a week and set up a short video call — under an hour of your time.
- We’ll send you a hypothetical project schedule and delivery plan. Use your expertise to flag what’s unrealistic and how you’d de-risk it. Under an hour of your time.
Trust and empowerment once you’re hired:
- Join a team of optimists who believe technology can do right by people and the planet at the same time.
- Flat leadership structure: the entire leadership team — CFO, CTO, CEO, and beyond — decides collectively on every project Earthkeep takes on, weighing the financial, ecological, and human impact together.
Looking forward to hearing from you - Team Earthkeep
