The HR and Office Manager plays a vital role in fostering a positive workplace culture while ensuring smooth office operations. This position combines human resources functions with office administration to support employees and maintain an efficient, well-organised work environment. You will be working directly with the Management Team (CEO and Directors).

Key Responsibilities and Duties
Human Resources:
Manage the full employee lifecycle: recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and offboarding.
Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with labour laws and company policies.
Administer payroll, benefits, and leave & attendance tracking (managed in Personio).
Support employee wellbeing initiatives, staff development, and training programmes.
Assist with HR policy development and implementation.
Serve as a first point of contact for employee questions.
Support (financial) administration where needed.
Managing the Wet Verbetering Poortwachter (Gatekeeper Improvement Act) and the RI&E (Risico Inventarisatie en Evaluatie).
Office Management:
Oversee daily office operations, including supplies & groceries, limited equipment & facility management, and office safety procedures (BHV / Bedrijfs Hulpverlener is not required).
Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and landlords.
Organise company events and team activities.
Directly support the Management Team with coordination of team meetings and events.
Ensure the office environment is welcoming and clean.

Proven experience in HR and office management or related roles (3+ years of relevant experience).

Working proficiency in Dutch and English is required to be able to facilitate communication between employees, service providers, and Dutch institutions.

Strong knowledge of Dutch labour laws and HR best practices, as well as working with international cases (IND, highly skilled migrants, visas, 30% ruling).

Excellent organisational abilities and interpersonal skills.

For this role, we offer an initial 1-year contract for 32 to 40 hours per week. We offer a competitive full-time monthly gross salary of €3,405 – €4,490 (full-time basis excluding holiday money), depending on your level of experience and expertise. You are expected to work from our office Monday through Thursday; working remotely occasionally can be discussed but especially for this role your attendance is crucial!
