We are looking for two Implementation Specialists to join our Delivery team: one based in Toronto, covering the North American market, and one based in Leiden, covering the EU
Both roles take full ownership of getting new customers live on the ChannelEngine platform. You'll work directly with customers — from the first technical discovery call through to go-live and beyond — making sure every integration is built right and every customer is set up for long-term success. The problems you'll solve are real, varied, and often time-sensitive. No two implementations are the same.
This role suits someone who is genuinely curious about how systems fit together and who approaches complexity with structure rather than instinct. You'll work independently across your own project pipeline, which means the people who thrive here are those who can read a situation, ask the right questions, and design a sound path forward.
We're growing fast and we need people who are ready to contribute from day one. If you know e-commerce ecosystems from the inside, and you enjoy the diagnostic side of implementation as much as the delivery side — we want to hear from you
-
Lead end-to-end customer onboarding: Own the full implementation lifecycle for your accounts — from technical discovery and integration design through to go-live and handoff to Customer Success. You'll dig into each customer's IT landscape early, identify dependencies and edge cases before they become problems, and make deliberate architectural decisions rather than defaulting to the first path available.
-
Solve complex integration challenges: Guide customers through connecting their systems to ChannelEngine — advising on API integrations, channel configurations, and marketplace-specific requirements across your region. When something breaks or doesn't behave as expected, you're the person who traces it back to the source and fixes it.
-
Manage your project pipeline independently: Keep multiple active implementations on track simultaneously, maintaining stakeholder alignment, flagging risks early, and making sound decisions without waiting for perfect information. You'll know when to escalate and when to just get it done.
-
Set customers up for the long term: Your job isn't finished at go-live. You'll coach and train customers through their setup, making sure they understand the platform, can operate independently, and are positioned to grow their marketplace presence — handing over to the CSM team with full confidence in what's been built.
The most important thing you bring to this role is deep familiarity with the e-commerce ecosystem — how the pieces fit together, where the friction points are, and what good looks like in practice. Everything else builds from there. If your background is strong in e-commerce and you approach problems the way this role demands — logically, curiously, and with the customer's context always in mind — we want to hear from you, even if your path here wasn't conventional. You must be based in or able to commute to either Leiden, NL or Toronto, CA on a hybrid basis.
You bring:
-
3+ years of hands-on experience in e-commerce implementation, onboarding, or technical account management — you know how ERPs (SAP, Brightpearl, AFAS), plugins (Shopify, Shopware, Magento), middleware, and marketplace connections fit together in practice
-
A diagnostic mindset: you ask the right questions before you start building, trace problems back to their root cause, and design solutions that hold up under pressure
-
Proficiency working with APIs — authentication, troubleshooting, and identifying where in a data flow something has gone wrong
-
Comfort managing multiple active projects independently, with a track record of keeping complex implementations on track across multiple stakeholders
-
Strong English; German is a significant advantage and actively sought for our EU-based role, but not a hard requirement
Nice to have:
-
Experience translating a customer's IT landscape into a structured integration design or architecture document
-
Background in consultancy, solutions engineering, or technical pre-sales
-
Marketplace knowledge across five or more channels
In this role, success isn't just hitting go-live dates — it's the quality of what you leave behind. Customers who understand their setup, integrations that don't generate support tickets three months later, and handoffs to the CSM team that are clean and complete. You'll be measured on the health of your implementations, not just their speed.
You'll be working in an open and collaborative company with ~200 colleagues of over 40 different nationalities

We aim to make our interview process as transparent, engaging, and efficient as possible. While the exact flow and timing may adapt as we go, our typical 3–4 week process includes:
-
First-round selection interview: A call with one of our recruitment team (for this role, Lawrence van der Merwe). This conversation assesses your experience and motivation against our key pillars, and establishes the logistical aspects of your application in more detail. It’s also your space to ask questions and test mutual fit.
-
Manager interview: Video interview with the team manager(s) & peers, to explore your approach, style, and how you operate day-to-day.
-
Final round case study: A conversation built around concrete scenarios, involving some of the team, to assess fit and discuss the role in more detail.
