Role Description:
The Central Tech Analytics Team is the primary data and insights partner for Leadership, Tech, and Product teams. The team is responsible for transforming operational, financial, engineering, and workforce data into clear, actionable insights, providing stakeholders with the dashboards, analysis, and insights necessary for informed decision-making.
As a Data Analyst I you’ll work on analytics tasks such as reporting, visualization and analysis within the scope of the team. You are expected to combine your understanding of the business with the knowledge of data, workflows, methods and tooling to largely autonomously drive analysis and reporting. You will also collaborate with peers in the craft and follow best practices ensuring data quality and stability.
Key Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Owning the design and delivery of parts of Data Analytics solutions based on business requirements, contributing to bringing them from the initial idea-generation phase to implementation with some supervision
Working independently on consuming data, preparing it for analytical use and translating business problems to data stories
Delivering work that informs business decisions for the product / business topic you work on
Leveraging foundational skills in data analysis and data visualization to answer business questions
Incorporating stakeholder requirements when creating intuitive and insightful visualizations that translate data into actionable insights
Connecting and collaborating with stakeholders in operational and project-based roles
Using effective communication to address stakeholders’ needs and presenting data insights in an accessible, business-friendly manner.
Being flexible in adopting existing internal Data Analytics approaches and expanding your technical competencies when a more efficient way presents itself
Networking and proactively connecting with craft peers and peers in related crafts (ie. Data Engineering) beyond the team's scope to ensure successful outcomes.
Ensuring quality of your own work by validating it through peer review.
Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum of 2 year of experience in a data or software adjacent field, working with systems and data infrastructure at scale.
Strongly preferably experienced in working in a technical/engineering scope rather than commercial analytics scope
Proficiency in data analysis languages (e.g., SQL, Python)
Proficiency in building dashboards and using visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Independent in working with ETL/ELT tools and methodologies
Independent in working with relational databases and any flavor of SQL in an analytical context
Ability to explain analyses clearly and present ideas in a structured way
Experienced in working with stakeholders or cross-functional partners, preferably experienced in working in an engineering/technical heavy environment
Ability to work independently with limited support in an ambiguous environment
Ability to identify blockers early and communicate them well
