As a Quality Engineer for Tesla Energy Products EMEA, you’ll ensure our Megapack installations meet the highest standards of reliability, safety, and compliance, from large utility scale projects in the UK to solar co-located projects in Southern Europe.
What You'll Do
ISO 9001 Compliance & Accreditation

Audit Tesla Energy EMEA’s processes against ISO 9001:2015, identifying gaps in documentation, training, or procedures.

Prepare the team for third-party audits and certifications, ensuring alignment with EU directives

Update Tesla’s global Quality Management System (QMS) to reflect European regulatory updates
Project-Level Quality Assurance

Oversee quality for 1GWh+ utility-scale projects, ensuring compliance with Tesla’s Megapack Installation Standards and customer-specific requirements

Develop project-specific quality plans for high-risk phases (e.g., foundation pouring, HV installation)

Monitor subcontractor performance, ensuring alignment with Tesla’s protocols
Cross-Functional Quality Leadership

Train project managers, engineers, and site teams on Tesla’s QMS, using real-world examples

Collaborate with design teams to refine site design specifications, addressing recurring quality issues

Champion a “quality-first” culture through root-cause analysis and lessons-learned workshops
Issue Resolution & Documentation

Investigate on-site quality deviations and supplier defects

Ensure corrective actions are documented in Tesla’s QMS and shared across teams to prevent recurrence

Partner with engineering teams to audit supplier factories in Europe and beyond
What You'll Bring-
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical) or a related field

Certified Lead Auditor (IRCA / CQI) for ISO 9001:2015

5+ years of experience in quality management for utility-scale energy, industrial, or heavy infrastructure projects
-
Fluency in English is required, additional fluency in another European Language is a plus.
