Job Summary
As the E&I Engineering Lead, you provide technical leadership within our Capital Projects organization. You do not perform detailed design work yourself; instead, you guide direction, assess designs, challenge decisions, and ensure projects meet technical, safety, and compliance requirements.
You operate at the intersection of production, project management, maintenance, and our external engineering partner Fluor. You understand what needs to be done, why, and how to execute it in the smartest and safest way.
Expected Outcomes
Clear, future‑proof E&I technical direction across capital projects.
Robust, compliant engineering deliverables that meet Chemours and industry standards.
Strong alignment between plant needs, project teams, and engineering partners.
Responsibilities
Translate plant E&I needs into clear technical requirements for Fluor and other engineering partners.
Review designs, specifications, calculations, and proposals (without producing drawings yourself).
Advise throughout all project phases—from business case to full funding.
Ensure compliance with Chemours standards and codes such as NEC, IEEE, and NFPA.
Support installation, commissioning, and start‑up of new systems.
Contribute to maintenance projects and turnarounds with an E&I scope.
Collaborate with operations and maintenance to identify and prioritize upgrade needs.
Communicate effectively across all levels—from operators to lead engineers.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Instrumentation & Control.
At least 3 years of senior‑level experience in chemicals, petrochemicals, or heavy industry.
Strong understanding of low‑voltage systems, instrumentation, and automation.
Ability to critically review technical designs and challenge decisions constructively.
Strong communication skills; able to influence without formal authority.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with EPC firms such as Fluor.
Experience in capital project execution within industrial environments.
Knowledge of modernization and sustainability‑driven projects.
Dutch language skills (or willingness to learn).

Salary between €71,520 and €111,750 (including 13th month & holiday allowance).
9% annual bonus target.
