Aalberts is built on the belief that we make the greatest impact as one powerful collective. We create an environment where talent is given the space to grow, experiment, and make a real difference for the planet and our customers.
Through our shared vision of Machine Conditioning, the commercial departments of Pneutec and Lamers pool their expertise within Aalberts advanced mechatronics. Together, we ensure a machine is always perfectly conditioned to achieve maximum performance. We do this by controlling the "internal environment" of the machine—such as the flow of gases, liquids, and temperature—with extreme precision. Only when these conditions are perfectly stable can a machine perform at the highest level without deviations.
By combining deep technical knowledge with high delivery performance, we contribute to the technological lead of the global high-tech industry, enabling our customers to redefine the limits of what is technically possible.
In this role, "sales" does not mean cold calling or knocking on doors; it is entirely about the quality of the dialogue. As a Sales Engineer, you become the technical-commercial engine behind our Machine Conditioning solutions. You are not a salesperson in the traditional sense, but a technical sparring partner who thoroughly understands the customer's technological products to deliver outstanding (new) solutions.
You act as the director who determines how we increase the added value for our customers. You maintain close ties with our clients and form the bridge between technical cost engineers and the commercial team. You focus strongly on solving operational challenges and constantly look for opportunities to enhance our value proposition.
In short: You are the link who understands complex problems, and your commercial success is the logical result of the solutions you co-create with the customer.
Key responsibilities:
-
Technical-Commercial Sparring: Serving as the primary internal point of contact for customers in semicon and high-tech. You understand the function of a product and dive deep into the reasoning behind technical changes.
-
Maintaining Balance: Collaborating closely with cost engineers to ensure quotes are technically superior while remaining commercially competitive and perfectly positioned in the market.
-
Capitalizing on Opportunities: Identifying commercial potential where others only see engineering, and successfully converting these into concrete co-engineering projects.
To be successful in this role, you look beyond the technical drawing. You have insight into product functionality and a naturally curious disposition. You are a commercially-minded engineer with strong analytical skills who enjoys working closely with engineering, procurement, cost engineering, and sales.
Specifically, we are looking for:
-
Education: A technical degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s), preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering & Management.
-
Experience: 3 to 10 years of relevant experience in a technical-commercial role within high-tech machine building or the semiconductor industry. (Hands-on experience in a production environment is a plus).
-
Partner Mindset: A professional sparring partner for both our customers and our internal teams. You communicate persuasively, are detail-oriented, and know how to get people on board.
-
Competencies: Proactive, eager to learn, and focused on continuous improvement and coordination.
