Head of Enterprise Solutions & Data Integration Architecture
Role Purpose
The Head of Enterprise Solutions & Data Integration Architecture provides enterprise‑level architectural leadership for Hillebrand Gori’s global BWS forwarding business.
The role ensures that business strategy, operational execution, data, and technology platforms evolve in a coherent, scalable, and compliant manner to support growth, margin protection, regulatory requirements, and customer experience.
The role combines functional people leadership, enterprise governance, and strategic technology direction, with accountability for long‑term architectural integrity across regions, products, and applications.
How will you contribute to the success of DHL and Hillebrand Gori?
Enterprise & Business‑Driven Architecture
- Lead enterprise‑wide solution architecture in direct support of the Hillebrand Gori BWS forwarding value chain, including order management, transport execution, documentation, compliance, cost management, and customer visibility.
- Ensure architecture enables global standardization with local regulatory flexibility, especially for alcohol‑specific customs, excise, and compliance requirements.
- Translate BWS business strategy, commercial models, and operational priorities into integrated, end‑to‑end architectures spanning processes, data, applications, and integrations.
- Ensure solutions support volume volatility, peak seasons, margin sensitivity, and premium service differentiation characteristic of the wine, beer, and spirits market.
- Balance time‑to‑market and operational urgency with long‑term enterprise sustainability, avoiding fragmentation across regions and brands.
Functional Leadership & Direction
- Provide functional leadership and direction to solution architects, ensuring consistent architecture quality, capability maturity, and professional development.
- Set architectural guardrails, principles, and decision frameworks for all global application product owners within Hillebrand Gori.
- Act as architectural authority and escalation point for cross‑product and cross‑region initiatives impacting enterprise data, integration, or core processes.
- Influence without direct line control, aligning regional and global product owners to enterprise priorities and standards.
Master Data, Trade & Compliance Enablement
- Own enterprise master data alignment critical to BWS forwarding, including customers, products, locations, carriers, lanes, and regulatory attributes.
- Define and enforce canonical data models and stewardship structures to ensure accurate pricing, compliant documentation, and reliable reporting.
- Ensure master data decisions support customs, excise, bonded warehousing, and trade compliance processes across geographies.
- Prevent data inconsistencies that impact invoicing accuracy, regulatory exposure, or customer trust.
Process, Data & Analytics Architecture
- Govern end‑to‑end business processes across commercial, operations, and finance domains, ensuring global consistency with controlled local variation.
- Ensure operational systems (CRM, TMS, WMS, finance, documentation solutions) feed reliable, auditable data into enterprise reporting and analytics.
- Strongly influence data warehouse and analytical design to enable margin transparency, service performance insight, and regulatory reporting.
- Align process and data design to avoid reconciliation issues between operations, billing, and finance.
Application Integration & Platform Sustainability
- Act as internal product owner for enterprise integration capabilities supporting global BWS operations.
- Define and enforce integration standards that enable real‑time visibility, partner connectivity, and scale across regions.
- Ensure integrations are secure, resilient, and compliant, supporting both DHL enterprise standards and Hillebrand Gori business needs.
- Balance regional project demands with long‑term platform sustainability and cost efficiency.
Governance, Risk & Enterprise Sustainability
- Establish and enforce solution development and architecture governance aligned with DHL standards.
- Review and approve designs to ensure alignment with enterprise principles, regulatory requirements, and security policies.
- Actively manage and reduce architectural, data, and integration debt that increases operational risk or limits growth.
- Ensure controlled evolution of systems while supporting continuous delivery and business agility.
Senior Stakeholder & Business Partnership
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Hillebrand Gori and DHL senior leadership, product leadership, and regional business heads.
- Facilitate alignment between commercial ambition, operational feasibility, and technology enablement.
