At ADM, we transform nature into ingredients and solutions that nourish the world. We are looking for a Manager, Applications & Product Development to lead the creation of innovative food applications that showcase the functionality and value of our ingredient portfolio.
In this role, you will bridge ingredient innovation with real-world customer solutions, developing formulations and prototypes that support commercial growth, customer engagement, and the successful adoption of new technologies across multiple food categories.
You will collaborate closely with R&D, commercial, marketing, quality, and manufacturing teams while partnering directly with customers to bring ingredient solutions to life.
Your Responsibilities
Application Development & Ingredient Functionality

Lead the development of innovative food applications, recipes, and prototypes demonstrating the functionality of ADM ingredient solutions.

Translate ingredient technologies into practical, scalable formulations for industrial food manufacturing.

Optimize formulations for taste, texture, stability, shelf life, processability, and cost efficiency.

Develop technical documentation, formulation guidelines, and application recommendations to support ingredient usage.
Innovation & Commercialization

Support the commercialization of new ingredient technologies through proof-of-concept development and application validation.

Identify new market opportunities and emerging applications for ingredient solutions across various food systems.

Stay informed on consumer trends, formulation technologies, and processing innovations within the food industry.
Customer Partnership & Technical Support

Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing teams on customer innovation projects.

Lead customer workshops, technical presentations, and formulation demonstrations.

Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support during customer product development projects.

Translate customer needs into functional ingredient-based solutions.
Team Leadership & Collaboration

Manage development project pipelines and prioritize activities aligned with commercial strategy.

Foster collaboration across global application laboratories and regional teams.

Work cross-functionally with ingredient R&D, regulatory, quality, process development, and manufacturing teams.

Support scale-up activities from laboratory and pilot plant through to industrial production.
Your Profile-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of experience in food ingredients, applications development, or technical service.

Strong experience working with ingredient functionality across multiple food systems such as sweeteners, starches, proteins, fibers, or texturizers.

Proven experience managing technical teams and cross-functional projects.

Experience supporting B2B customers within the food manufacturing industry.

Strong understanding of food formulation, ingredient interactions, and processing technologies.

Experience with laboratory work, pilot plant trials, and industrial scale-up.

Knowledge of sensory evaluation, shelf-life testing, and product stability.

Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.

Ability to translate complex ingredient technologies into practical customer solutions.

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
