As an Artificial Intelligence Intern at Proton Ventures, you will play a key role in exploring how artificial intelligence can transform engineering workflows. Over a six-month period, you will lead the design and development of a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) system tailored to our technical domain.
Working primarily within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem, you will build scalable AI solutions that make complex engineering knowledge more accessible and usable.
Beyond this core project, you will have the freedom to “vibe-code” new ideas—rapidly prototyping and testing AI-driven modules that can improve how we work. Throughout your internship, you will be given the space and responsibility to experiment, build, and innovate. We are looking for someone who enjoys exploring possibilities, takes initiative, and is excited to turn ideas into working solutions in a real-world environment.
What We Offer You
As an intern at Proton Ventures, you are not only here to learn—you are here to create. We offer an environment where creativity, autonomy, and ownership are central to how we work. You will have the freedom to explore your own ideas, test new approaches, and shape the direction of your projects.
This internship provides a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of artificial intelligence, cloud technology, and the energy transition. You will gain hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, collaborate with engineers across disciplines, and see your ideas translated into tangible solutions.
We trust our interns to take initiative and support them along the way with guidance, feedback, and a collaborative team culture. If you enjoy experimenting, challenging assumptions, and building things that matter, you will feel at home here.
In addition, we offer a market-conform internship allowance in the Netherlands for a Master-level intern.
