Analyzing clients' electrical and instrumentation challenges, translating them into robust technical concepts, and developing them into integrated, safe, and demonstrably compliant E/I designs. You are responsible for design decisions with significant impact on the safety, operational continuity, and performance of industrial installations. You ensure that projects are technically sound, risks are mitigated, and the end result complies with all relevant standards, laws, regulations, and client specifications. RESPONSIBILITIES • Engineer for E/I within projects of high technical complexity. • Translating client and process requirements into system architecture, functional design, and detailed technical design. • Executing and monitoring risk analyses for functional safety. • Approving and releasing designs, specifications, test plans, and documentation. • Technical responsibility during design, construction, testing, and commissioning phases. • Advising clients on optimizations, expansions, and lifecycle improvements. • Standardization and continuous improvement of design principles within the organization. AUTHORITIES • Making decisions on design strategy, system architecture, and standard interpretation (NEN/IEC/ATEX). • Authorizing design changes with an impact on safety, schedule, or costs. • Approving FAT/SAT protocols, test results, and releases for production or installation. • Initiating improvements in working methodologies and technical standards. • Evaluating and selecting components, suppliers, and technical alternatives.
