As Technical Application Manager responsible for multiple critical assets of the DAF Mainframe infrastructure DAF’s Mainframe serves as the backbone of its IT landscape. All automation processes and data flows across departments such as Operations, Parts, Finance, and Logistics rely on the Mainframe. Together with your team, you are responsible for several critical components of the DAF Mainframe environment:

1) Analyze and resolve Mainframe incidents, 2)Provide support to departments for Mainframe-related inquiries and requests, 3)Manage interfaces related to file transfers and printing, 4)Develop COBOL solutions to enhance the our administration- and automation systems, ensuring alignment with Mainframe applications and processes, 5)Maintain and manage the Mainframe databases, 6)Contribute to innovation and modernization initiatives to improve accessibility, stability, and future readiness of the Mainframe, 7)Participate in standby/on-call shifts.

Our team (Mainframe Services team) consists of 7 dedicated colleagues. Among us we have COBOL professionals based in India and an architect who focus on our strategic roadmap. While the remaining Technical Application Managers share similar roles and responsibilities. Our team has an agile mindset and prioritize all the tasks that need to be done.
