The Department of Mechanical Engineering department conducts world-class research aligned with the technological interests of the high-tech industry in the Netherlands, with a focus on the Brainport region. Our goal is to produce engineers who are both scientifically educated and application-driven by providing a balanced education and research program that combines fundamental and application aspects. For the Mechanical Engineering department at TU/e, we are looking for an enthusiastic student who would like to join the Marketing & Communication team as an intern. The goal of this internship is to support communication activities and contribute to student recruitment by helping to inform and engage prospective students.
Role and responsibilities
The Mechanical Engineering department is actively working on improving communication with prospective (international) students across different channels. This includes events, online content, and personalized communication throughout the student journey.
As an intern, you will support the team in creating and executing these activities and help strengthen the visibility of our study programs. In addition, there is room to carry out a research assignment required by your study program, which can be defined together to ensure it aligns well with our team’s activities and projects.
Your responsibilities include:

Support the organization of events such as open days and information sessions

Assist in creating and sending newsletters

Manage and create content for social media channels (Instagram/LinkedIn/TikTok)

Write and update website content

Contribute ideas for marketing campaigns and communication strategies
Support various ongoing marketing and communication projects

A current student in Communication, Marketing, Commercial Economics, International Business or a related field

Available for a period of at least 6 months (starting in September)

Able to work on campus in Eindhoven for at least 24 hours a week

Creative and proactive

Interested in marketing, communication, and content creation
Strong communication skills in English
