On 30 June 2026, Xeltis goes commercial. After more than a decade of development, multiple clinical trials, and CE Mark approval for aXess, our vascular access platform for hemodialysis, we begin the first commercial launch in the company's history.
You will be joining Xeltis at the moment the company transforms from clinical-stage to commercial. Your work will help shape how a genuinely novel vascular access implant reaches the patients who need it most. This is a real opportunity to be part of shaping Xeltis's next chapter.
This is the first dedicated marketing hire to lead the in-house execution of the European launch. You will work directly with our SVP Strategic Marketing & GTM and an established agency ecosystem covering brand and creative, PR, and design, with relationships already in place, to turn brand, positioning, and account strategy into the materials, congress experiences, and digital touchpoints that drive aXess adoption with physicians, hospitals, and clinical decision-makers across Europe.
For more than a decade we have built inside-out: developing the device, running the trials, securing approval. Your job is to help us turn outside-in.
That means grounding our marketing in what physicians, nurses, and hospital decision-makers actually need to choose aXess, and making sure that signal reaches every piece of work we produce.
The role spans three areas, in this order of priority:
Develop and maintain the materials our commercial team uses to engage physicians and hospital decision-makers: brochures, sell-sheets, presentations, leaflets, technical data sheets. Own the full content lifecycle from brief and draft through medical and regulatory review (MLR), translations into our priority markets (Germany, Iberia, others as they open), version control, and brand consistency.
This is the workstream that most directly enables our VP Commercial and the broader commercial team to hit their targets. It is your number one priority.
Lead the planning and on-site execution of our European congress presence in conjunction with our clinical team: booth, materials, KOL hosting, speaker activities, lead capture, and pre- and post-event activation. Congresses are where our customers are, and this is the most visible expression of the Xeltis brand in the market.
This work is currently being absorbed by colleagues whose primary roles sit elsewhere. You will take it over and elevate it to the standard our commercial moment demands.
Manage website content, SEO and AI-search optimization, our LinkedIn presence, and the digital asset library. Maintain CRM and marketing automation tooling for campaigns, KOL register, and lead tracking. Over time, bring routine digital execution in-house, reducing dependency on external agencies for work that is more efficient internally.
You will own day-to-day project management of our external agencies, develop creative briefs, manage timelines and deliverables, track agency budgets, and act as the in-house creative checkpoint. You may write when it helps, but the core of the role is guiding agencies, directing internal stakeholders, and managing customer-facing moments at events. You will talk to physicians and internal stakeholders alike, ask the right questions, and bring that signal back into the work.
We need a customer-first marketer who thinks outside-in. Someone who shows up to congresses, talks to physicians, asks the right questions, and brings what they learn back into our content and campaigns. For us, curiosity is the single most important trait this hire needs.
You will be a strong project manager who can hold multiple agency and society relationships, and parallel workstreams, without losing the thread. You will have the creative judgment to guide agencies without doing their job for them. You will be senior enough to operate autonomously, while still wanting to grow.
5–7 years of marketing experience in medical devices or healthcare, with strong instinct for working in a regulated environment. Nephrology, dialysis, or vascular access experience a plus.
Direct experience supporting a product launch or commercial scale-up in medtech (essential, not a plus).
A track record managing external agencies, complex content production cycles, and on-site congress execution.
Strong project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and external vendors in parallel.
Comfort managing agency budgets and project spend within defined parameters.
Hands-on experience with CRM systems, with the judgment to drive sales adoption, maintain data quality, and execute targeted marketing campaigns through segmentation.
Experience with AI-enabled tools and workflows, including comfort working with AI-assisted platforms for content, systems, and reporting.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related discipline.
Fluent English. German and/or Spanish strongly preferred, as these are our priority commercial markets.
Comfort with ~30% travel, with peaks during congress seasons.
Your background is primarily marketing agency-side without medtech or regulated-industry exposure.
You want to lead strategy more than execute it at this stage. Strategy sits with the SVP for now.
You need a fully built marketing team around you to perform.
At 6 months: You have taken full ownership of sales enablement materials for the first wave of European commercial activity, executed at least one European congress at a noticeably elevated standard, and built productive working relationships with our agency partners and internal stakeholders. Internal collaborators give you strong feedback as a partner who unblocks decisions and moves the work forward.
At 12 months: You are running a measurable lead funnel from events and digital. Lead quality and quantity are tracked, reported, and improving. Our agency dependency has been deliberately rebalanced where it makes sense. The materials library, KOL register, and CRM are clean, current, and useful to the commercial team.
At ~18 months: As we expand into the US, there is a real path to grow into Marketing Lead, Europe, with more strategic scope and potentially a small team to build. This is a genuine growth role.
