Help build the infrastructure behind Europe's satellite navigation programme.
As a Galileo Infrastructure Engineer, you contribute to one of Europe's most advanced and mission-critical space programmes. Together with the European Union, ESA and international partners, CGI develops and maintains the IT infrastructure supporting the Galileo satellite navigation programme.
In this role, you will help maintain, improve and automate complex infrastructure environments that support critical satellite navigation services. Reliability, security and availability are key, as your work contributes to systems that are used every day across Europe and beyond.
You will work closely with infrastructure specialists, systems engineers, software engineers and international stakeholders in an innovative and highly technical environment where continuous improvement and automation are central.
Your role in our team
As a Galileo Infrastructure Engineer you will:
- Manage, maintain and optimize mission-critical IT infrastructure supporting the Galileo programme.
- Configure, monitor and improve Linux-based infrastructure environments.
- Automate infrastructure deployments and operational processes using Infrastructure as Code and scripting.
- Support incident, problem and change management activities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and international stakeholders.
- Contribute to infrastructure improvements focused on performance, scalability, security and availability.
- Support deployment, maintenance and lifecycle management of complex infrastructure environments.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to technical discussions, planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
After your onboarding period, you will become an integral part of an international engineering team working on one of Europe's flagship space programmes. Together with CGI colleagues, ESA and industrial partners, you will help ensure a stable, secure and future-proof infrastructure supporting Galileo.
How you strengthen our team

You bring:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with Linux-based enterprise environments.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, Proxmox.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code and automation tools (Ansible, Terraform or similar).
- Experience with scripting (Bash, Python or PowerShell).
- Knowledge of networking, storage and infrastructure security.
- Experience working in complex, on-premise and or mission-critical IT environments is considered an advantage.
- Knowledge in CI/CD systems are an advantage.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- A proactive mindset and willingness to continuously improve infrastructure.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- EU nationality due to mandatory security clearance requirements.
