About The Glam Lab
The Glam Lab is a beauty studio in De Pijp, Amsterdam, with a full, busy schedule. We work with clear structure, calm and craftsmanship, even when it’s busy.
Our style is understated and well-kept: a calm, considered space and a professional, welcoming way of working. Quality and personal attention come first, for a broad clientele of men and women alike. No fuss, just consistent quality.
We’re growing, which is why we’re looking for a reliable, precise colleague we’ll train ourselves into an all-round specialist, someone who wants to commit for the longer term.
The role
As a beauty specialist you carry out our treatments independently and professionally. You start with the basics and we train you up to the full menu in-house:
- Lash lift & tint
- Brow shaping, brow lamination and brow tinting
- Skin treatments, including HydraGlow and microneedling
You work precisely, hygienically and with an eye for detail. You’ll regularly run a shift on your own and are then responsible for quality, hygiene and a pleasant client experience. With us, quality always comes before speed. You get the space to work carefully, without time pressure.
No experience? We’ll train you!
You don’t need a background in beauty. We have our own in-house training programme that teaches you every technique. What we ask for is a service-minded attitude, a professional manner and a real willingness to master the craft. This is a great move if you’re coming from hospitality, retail or another people-facing role and want to learn a skilled trade in a calm, professional setting.
Already experienced with lash lifting? That's a very strong plus, but not an absolute requirement.
Who we’re looking for
- Living in Amsterdam — you live in the city and can easily get to the studio.
- Fluent English (required) — you switch effortlessly with an international clientele. Dutch is a plus.
- Experience in a service-oriented role — for example hospitality, retail or food & beverage, with a basic sense of etiquette and hospitality.
- A professional, well-groomed appearance — you present yourself neatly and in line with The Glam Lab’s style.
- Available evenings and weekends — this is part of the role.
- Available for at least 12 months — this is not a temporary side job, but a role for someone seeking stability and continuity.
- Precise, reliable and independent — you work calmly and in a structured way, and take commitments seriously.
- Lash lifting experience — a plus, not a requirement.
Working hours & flexibility
Hours are flexible and scheduled by arrangement. You’ll usually work days of around 9 hours — for example 4 days a week, leaving you more days off. We agree the number of days and hours together.
This flexible set-up gives you plenty of room to plan your own time off and holidays. Evenings and weekends are part of the rota. We always plan the schedule well in advance, in consultation.
A note on pay: the € 2,665 gross per month is based on a full 36-hour week and already includes holiday allowance. If you work fewer hours, pay is calculated pro-rata.
Earning potential & bonus
On top of your salary, you can earn a performance bonus based on verified 5-star reviews and new treatments booked directly with you. The stronger your work and your connection with clients, the more you earn — so there’s real upside beyond the base salary.
Growth opportunities
You’re not on your own: we review your progress every 6 months with clear next steps, so you always know where you stand and what comes next.
- 0–2 months — in-house training and onboarding; you learn the techniques and work alongside the team.
- After 6 months — evaluation, broadening of your treatment menu and more independence.
- Beyond that — room to grow into a senior or coordinating role as we expand.
