Maran Ship Supplies Pte Ltd. is part of the Angelicoussis Group, one of the world’s leading Shipping Groups. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Purchaser to join our procurement team.
About the role
The role will be responsible for sourcing and procuring maritime stores and provisions from local and international suppliers, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely delivery to vessels. This position requires strong organizational and analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a results-driven approach to support the company’s global supply chain operations.
Key Responsibilities

Liaise with Ship Managers in the office and Masters onboard to manage the procurement and supply of maritime stores and provisions (Cabin, Deck, Engine, Electrical, Safety, Dry, Fresh, Frozen, and Chilled Food products).

Request, evaluate, and compare quotations and tenders to select suppliers that meet company quality, safety, and value standards.

Source goods from both local and international markets, ensuring compliance with required specifications, safety regulations, and cost-efficiency targets.

Negotiate pricing, establish delivery patterns, and ensure suppliers meet agreed timelines and service levels.

Verify accuracy of supplier invoices and ensure proper reconciliation of Purchase Orders (POs).

Track, monitor, and follow up on purchasing requests until full close-out, ensuring smooth documentation and reporting.

Maintain procurement procedures and ensure full compliance with company policies, international maritime standards, and local regulations (including Singapore regulations).

Report on non-conformities and provide data for supplier performance evaluation and continuous process improvement.

Analyse procurement activities to identify opportunities for efficiency, cost savings, standardization, and value improvement.

Collaborate with vessels, suppliers, and management to optimize the supply chain and enhance procurement practices.
Candidate must have

Minimum 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in ship chandling or maritime supply.

Strong knowledge of maritime stores, consumables, and provisions, with exposure to global supplier networks.

Familiarity with international maritime industry practices and port logistics will be considered a significant advantage.

Strong organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in written and spoken English.

Detail-oriented, self-driven, and results-focused professional able to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
