This role is based at Clink NOORD, in a design-led, social youth hostel that’s known for events, community, and bringing people together from all over the world. We welcome international travellers year-round, and we’re big on the kind of hostel experience where strangers end up becoming friends.
Your role at Clink Hostels is the overall performance, profitability, and compliance of the food and beverage operation, with a strong hands-on focus on kitchen, food production, and bar operations. This role ensures high standards of food and drink quality, cost control, team leadership, and guest experience in a high-volume hospitality environment.

Leading the F&B team, including supporting and developing the team

Oversee bar operations including service standards, product quality, and speed of service

Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring consistent quality, presentation, and portion control

Ensure all products and menus are in line with brand standards, guest demand, and target food margins

Control food and bar production, prep levels, and waste reduction initiatives

Control labour scheduling in line with forecasted demand and revenue including contract management and recruitment

Implement and maintain kitchen SOPs, cleaning schedules, and service standards

Ensure full compliance with all food safety legislation requirements

Collaborating cross-departmentally and with the senior management team when needed

Conduct regular kitchen audits and address issues proactively

Drive sales through promoting table service and guest engagement

Lead the team in creating a lively and welcoming bar/café atmosphere – helping shape the social vibe of the hostel and encouraging guests to stay, relax and spend time in the space

Support and actively participate in events on site – promoting drink specials, engaging with guests and helping boost bar revenue
You are:

A confident, sociable communicator who thrives in high volume environments

A team player, willing to jump in when needed

Strong understanding of cost controls, margins and waste management

Someone with demonstrated experience managing a team in an F&B environment

Knowledgeable about our product offerings
