Chef de Partie – Sassy’s Diner (Amsterdam Noord)
Position: Full-time (Wednesday–Sunday)
About Us
Sassy’s Diner is a fast-paced, diner-themed restaurant located inside Oedipus Brewery in Amsterdam Noord. Our kitchen is focused on delivering high-quality dishes in a busy, energetic setting, with a strong emphasis on consistency, creativity, and execution. We regularly develop specials and evolving menu items, giving the team space to contribute ideas and refine dishes.
The Role
We’re looking for a passionate and reliable Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team. You’ll play a key role in maintaining quality and consistency during service, while also contributing to the development of specials and supporting the growth of the team.
Responsibilities
- Manage your section during prep and service
- Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
- Ensure consistency across all dishes leaving the kitchen
- Contribute ideas and assist in developing specials
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
- Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily operations
- Help train and mentor junior kitchen staff
- Communicate clearly and effectively with the front of house team to ensure smooth service
- Ensure food safety and hygiene standards are consistently met
- Contribute to a positive, team-oriented kitchen culture
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong experience as a Commis ready to step up
- A strong eye for detail and commitment to quality
- Interest in contributing to menu development and specials
- Confidence in supporting and guiding less experienced team members
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Flexibility and reliability (weekend availability required)
