Receptionist wanted at The Golden Stork
We're looking for a part-time receptionist to join our hostel on the Bierkade in Den Haag. If you genuinely enjoy meeting new people and helping them out, this might be a good fit.
The role: After a few training shifts, you'll be running reception on your own, handling check-ins and check-outs, answering guest questions, and keeping things ticking along smoothly. It's pretty informal here, so we need someone who's comfortable being the friendly face of the place without it feeling forced.
Hours: Looking at 2-5 shifts per week. We've got morning and evening shifts:
- November 1st to March 31st: 10-16 or 16-22
- Rest of the year: 8-15 or 15-22
What we need:
- IMPORTANT: We need someone available for July and (almost full-time) in August! After the summer months, you'll come back to mostly 2-4 shifts a week.
- Someone empathetic who actually likes chatting with people
- Comfortable working solo at reception
- Good organisational skills
- Registered in the Netherlands (mandatory for the exam)
- Social Responsibility exam is a plus, but if you don't have it yet, you'll need to take it within your first month here (we'll cover the first attempt)
- English speaker, any other language is a plus!
The hostel: We're The Golden Stork at Bierkade 22, right on the canal in the heart of The Hague!
